Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately and easily compute and realize three-dimensional reconstitution by a computer at high speed with an easy operation, by extracting the feature point of the skeleton image of a slice, and performing the positioning of each slice setting the feature point as reference. CONSTITUTION:Slice image data of slicing system via a microscope 1, or the slice image data formed by a tomographing system from a magnetic tape, a disk 3, or a film scanner 4, etc., is inputted to the computer 5. Then, the computer 5 binarizes inputted image data by applying a pre-processing including noise elimination and generates a slice skeleton image by performing distance conversion. Next, the computer extracts the feature point of each slice image by a method including binarization, or the extraction of an endpoint and an intersection, and performs the positioning of each slice based on the feature point, and restores a three-dimensional original image. By employing such method, it is possible to simplify the input of an operator, and to calculate and realize the reconstitution of the three-dimensional image by the computer accurately, easily and at high speed.
