Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable easy and appropriate loading of a thermal recording paper and perform appropriate printing, by a construction wherein a platen roller separated from a thermal head at a closed position of platen roller separated from a thermal head at a closed position of a support member can be pressed against the thermal head by moving a cover to a closed position. れる。しかしながらこの場合、サーマルヘッドを押圧す
るプラテンローラの弾力に抗して、一旦両者間に適宜の
間隙を形成し、その間隙へサーマル紙を挿入しなければ
ならず、その際サーマル紙の損傷を防止するためサーマ
ルヘッド周辺の他の構成部品との干渉を回避する必要が
ある等、かかる装填作業は極めて繁雑であり、且つ細心
の注意を要した。又、サーマルヘッド自体をプラテンロ
ーラから離間させるべく装置本体へ回動可能に取り付け
、両者の間隙を十分に確保し得るようにした場合、構造
上複雑にならざるを得なかった。

マル紙の装填に際し、まず開位置にある支持部材に対し
てそのホルダを介してサーマル紙を装着して後そのまま
閉位置へ移動する。この場合支持部材の開位置、即ち装
置本体の外部でサーマル紙は容易に装着され得る。閉位
置へ移動された支持部材においてプラテンローラはサー
マルヘッドに対し離間しているが、カバーを閉位置へ移
動することによりサーマル紙を挾んだ状態で該プラテン
ローラはサーマルヘッドを押圧し、この後フックによっ
てかかる状態が保持せしめられ、斯して容易且つ確実に
サーマル紙の装填作業は完了する。
