Private television broadcasting is operated by broadcasting fees for television commercials, and the audience ratings of television broadcasting are an important factor in determining the advertising effectiveness of broadcasting. The audience rating is expressed as a percentage of the total viewers of the broadcast channel at the broadcast time, and is determined by statistical methods such as sampling. Conventionally, information on viewing channels by time has been collected by a television viewing channel information collection device installed internally or externally to a television receiver.

Further, in the joint method, the changeover switch section is provided externally, or a frequency conversion type adapter is provided externally to the television receiver. Both methods are designed to be added directly to television receivers and antenna systems, and the amount of information collected is small. In recent years, the format of broadcasting has changed, and commercials from several companies appear on the same broadcast, making it important for sponsors to see whether their commercials were seen by viewers. Broadcast times for commercials tend to be shorter, ranging from 30 seconds to 15 seconds to 5 seconds, and efforts are being made to achieve the maximum effect in a short period of time. Broadcasting fees are also expensive, so there is a lot of information to be collected, such as how many viewers a commercial has, in what form, at what time, and how much sales effect it brings. A detailed response is required. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Therefore, the present invention aims to provide a television viewing status measuring device that does not require any direct processing on commercially available television receivers and can collect viewing information at low cost. Examples will be described below with reference to the drawings.

A control wave 2 is outputted from the remote controller 16, and is received and controlled by the remote control section of the television receiver 1. The control wave 2 is received by a receiver 3 that receives the control wave 2 separately and simultaneously. The receiving section 3 includes a receiving sensor section 7, an amplifying section 8, and a demodulating section 9, which are connected in terms of signal processing.

The reception sensor unit 7 is installed in a range where the control wave 2 can be received.
receive. The received control wave 2 is amplified by an amplification section 8 and demodulated by a demodulation section 9 to detect a control signal. The control signal received and detected by the receiving section 3 is input to the processing section 4, which analyzes and classifies the control information and the time information generated inside the processing section 4 or transmitted from the outside coexisting with or containing the control signal. Data is processed using information processing techniques such as , storage, transformation, and output. When necessary, the signal is sent from the processing section 4 to a transmission section 6 connected to a transmission line 5 such as a telephone line or a wireless line, and is transmitted and received through the transmission line 5. The processing section 4 is constituted by an information processing circuit such as a microprocessor. The transmission section 6 is composed of a circuit having a communication processing function.

A display section 1O may be provided at the output of the processing section 4 to display the viewing status and various viewing information. It is also possible to provide a control output section 11 which is controlled and outputted using the signal outputted by the processing of the processing section 4, and to control the television receiver using the secondary control wave 12 generated from the control output section 11.

When switching to video, a signal coupled to the video system is output, and various instructions are displayed and various selections are made accordingly. Alternatively, the switching circuit 14 provided in the remote controller 16, which has the conversion circuit 13 built into the remote controller 16, may be used to cancel the tuning function of the tuning switch so that the tuning switch can be used for another purpose. The conversion circuit 13 changes the modulation frequency, modulation method, etc., so that even if the TV receiver l receives the signal, it cannot be tuned by remote control. At this time, the control wave 2 received by the receiving section 3 is processed by the processing section 4 to obtain necessary information. The switching circuit 14 of the remote controller 16 may be switched manually or by the secondary control wave 12. This allows the device to be used for TV shopping, etc. Although a selection switch may be provided separately, it is more convenient to use as few switches as possible. Information on TV shopping is transmitted through images to find the person who is buying the item, and when the user presses the selection switch for the desired item, the necessary information is received by the control wave 2, and the receiving unit 3, processing unit 4, transmission unit 6, and transmission line 5 to the data collection station. The information may be accumulated in the processing unit 4 and polled to sequentially collect the information from the transmission unit 6. The switching circuit 14 can be operated manually by self-study or automatically by someone else, and even if the switching circuit 14 is in the automatic state, pressing the automatic switch of the switching circuit 14 may preferentially switch to the channel selection switch. Also, various marketing information such as medical information and emotional tests can be obtained at low collection costs. A video control section 15 may be provided, and a receiving function for the control wave 2 and the secondary control wave 12 may be provided.

A body sensor 17 may be built into the remote controller 16 to collect medical information such as skin resistance, body temperature, pulse rate, etc., so that it can be used for emotional marketing and the like. As described above, this is an excellent invention that can significantly reduce the cost of collecting television viewing information and enable marketing information processing that has not been seen before.
