Therefore, in view of the above-mentioned conventional circumstances, the present invention allows a part of the air taken in from the jaw of the helmet to be blown out directly to the mouth area inside the helmet, while blowing out the excess air to the temple area inside the helmet, and to absorb shock. It is an object of the present invention to provide a helmet which cools the head as a whole by dispersing it in a cushion material with good air permeability wrapped together with a liner, and allows smooth ventilation.

The helmet of the present invention, which achieves this purpose, has an air intake port in the chin of the cap body of a full-face helmet, and a recessed air reservoir in the chin guard attached to the cap body, which communicates with the air intake port. At the same time, an air outlet smaller than the area of the air intake port is formed in the covering material to be attached to the inner surface of the chin guard, and an air passage communicating with the air reservoir is extended on both left and right sides of the chin guard. The main feature is that the helmet has an opening at the temple inside the helmet body, allowing air to escape from the lower rear of the helmet through the cushioning material with good ventilation, which is interposed between the inner surface of the shock absorbing liner and the covering material. That is.

Hereinafter, one embodiment of the present invention will be described based on the drawings. A full-face helmet A is:
A cap body 1 formed of a material such as FRP, a shock absorbing liner 2 formed of polystyrene foam fitted inside the cap body 1 or a material with shock absorption performance equal to or higher than the polystyrene foam, and an inner part of the cap body 1. A chin guard 3 made of polystyrene foam or the like extending from the chin to the left and right temples, a side cushion 4, a head cushion 5, etc. attached to the inner surface of the shock absorbing liner 2, and a chin strap (not shown). It consists of

An air intake port 6 is drilled through the jaw portion of the cap body 1, and the chin guard 3 located behind the air intake port 6 is communicated with the air reservoir portion 7.
7' is recessed, and an air outlet 8 is opened in the covering 3' of the chin guard 3 so as to communicate with the air reservoirs 7, 7', and the diameter of the air outlet 8 is equal to the diameter of the front part. It is made smaller than the air intake port 6 so that a part of the air flowing in flows out to the mouth area behind the chin guard 3.

The chin guard 3 also has air passages 9, which originate from the air reservoirs 7, 7' and reach the left and right ends of the chin guard 3.
9' is recessed, and the side end openings of the air passages 9, 9' communicate with the cutout openings 10, 10' of the side cushion 4 attached to the inside of the shock absorbing liner 2, so that air can flow into the helmet A. As the air blows out, the air circulates around the entire side cushion, cooling the head.

The side cushion 4 attached to the inside of the shock absorbing liner 2 is made of a covering material 4' that is comfortable to the touch and has good air permeability, and covers a cushion material 4'' with good air permeability. Examples include open-mesh polyurethane foam.

The reason why the air inside the helmet A flows out from the rear lower side is that the air in the helmet A is drawn out because the back side of the neck, which can protrude downward from the helmet A, becomes a negative pressure.

With the above configuration, the air taken in from the air intake port 6 opened in the jaw of the helmet A flows out to the mouth area from the air outlet 8 corresponding to the intake port 6, and the surplus of the air taken in is The air is blown out through the air passage to both left and right sides (temple area) inside the helmet, hitting the temple area directly, and flowing through the side cushions to cool the entire head.

In the figure, reference numeral 11 is a resin cover that closes the air intake port provided in the cap body 1, and when ventilation is not required (for example, in winter), the cover 11 is used with the cover 11 attached. 12 is a shield.

Since the helmet of the present invention is constructed as described above, it is possible to separate the air taken in from the entire jaw area of the helmet into the mouth area and the left and right temple areas, and also to prevent the air from flowing out from the left and right temple areas. It is divided into two types: one that is sprayed directly onto the temple area, and the other that is flowed through the side cushion inside the shock absorbing liner, making it possible to thoroughly cool the entire head.
