Abstract

PURPOSE:To remedy the folding and bending of a paper piece so as not to be restored, by installing plural pieces of a heating roller having a heating element and also plural pieces of a presser roller as opposed to this heating roller in a fold-habit remedial device for paper sheets such as bills and so on. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of a heating roller 25 and plural pieces of a presser roller 35 being opposed and pressed to these heating rollers are all attached to a fold-habit remedial device 15 free of rotation to the side plate of a body. The heating roller 25 has a heating element 25a on the surface, while each heating element 25a is interconnected with one another by the electrode 20 installed in a shaft 26. Current-energization to these heating elements 25a is carried out by an external power source via a brush 24 to contact with the electrode 20. The presser roller 35 is formed with silicone rubber or the like and pressed to the heating roller 25 by a spring 18. When a bill B having a fold-habit C is carried in a roller pair, carry-in sensor 21 detects the bill B, and the bill B remedied of its fold habit by these paired rollers is discharged, a discharge sensor 22 detects the bill B as well.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a fold correction device for filter paper sheets used in a paper sheet handling device, and particularly relates to a paper sheet having folds such as curls and wrinkles. This invention relates to a fold straightening device for paper sheets, which allows paper sheets to be conveyed without jamming.

A conventional device of this kind is, for example, disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Application No. 51-10869.
As described in Publication No. 6, the folds and curls of a piece of paper are temporarily corrected to prevent jams from occurring on the conveyance path.

Moreover, as described in Utility Model Application Publication No. 58-124873,
A cylindrical roller having a heat generating element and a pressure roller are opposed to each other, and the bill is passed through the gap to correct creasing. In this structure, it is necessary to extend the crease in the direction perpendicular to the conveying direction before the cylindrical roller having the heating element. This is because, when a banknote is conveyed between a pair of pressure rollers, it may have a distinct tendency to bend. However, the mechanism for correcting this bending tendency is to install two plates facing each other and move them to both sides using screws.

Although the above-mentioned conventional technology takes into account the ability to temporarily correct folds and bends in paper strips to improve conveyance reliability, once one piece of paper is freed, it returns to its original state, which is difficult to do on complicated conveyance routes. There was a problem that guidance was required.

No consideration has been given to correcting folds in banknotes transported at high speeds, so when banknotes are transported at high speeds, folds in the direction perpendicular to the transport direction are corrected using a cylindrical roller with a heat generating element. The sheet is conveyed between the pressure rollers, and the folds are rather clearly formed between the rollers, so that a fold correction mechanism having such a structure cannot be applied to a paper sheet processing apparatus.

The above purpose is to use a heating roller section that has a heating element that is divided into a plurality of parts in the direction of the rotation axis, and a plurality of pressurizers that are pressed against the heating element of this heating roller section. This is achieved by constructing a fold straightening device using a pressing roller section having rollers, and passing the paper between the roller sections of the fold straightening device.

Paper sheets are conveyed while being held in pressure contact between a heating roller section having a heating element divided into a plurality of parts and a pressing roller section having a plurality of pressing rollers that are pressed against and in contact with these heating elements with appropriate pressure. When the paper sheets are folded, their creases are corrected by a heating element and a pressure roller.

Among the heating methods of the heating roller 15, the heating element on the surface of the heating roller 15 is energized by pressing the heating roller 25 with a roller.
The electrodes 20 may be made longer than the heating roller 35 and both ends that do not come into contact with the pressure roller 35 may be configured as the electrodes 20. Also, as shown in FIG. Alternatively, the electrode 20 may be formed by making the outer diameter of the electrode 20 smaller than that of the heating section.
