[Detailed Description of the Invention] (Technical Field of the Invention) The present invention relates to an improvement of an internally cooled OF cable that is useful when the finished outer diameter of the cable can be made small.

(Prior art) Conventionally, as shown in Fig. 1, as a conductor for an internally cooled OF cable, a cooling pipe 3 with a smaller diameter is arranged in an oil passage 2 provided at the center of the conductor 1, and this cooling pipe It is known that a refrigerant 4 is filled in an oil passage 2 with insulating oil 5.

(Problems with the Prior Art) However, the conductor for such an internally cooled OF cable has the disadvantage that the diameter of the oil passage increases to accommodate the cooling pipe, resulting in a finished cable with a large diameter.

(Other conventional techniques and their problems) On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 2, an external passage is formed by spirally winding a skid wire 7 around the outer periphery of an insulator 6 and providing an aluminum sheath 8 thereon. A method of filling the insulating oil 10 into the conductor 9 is also known, but in this method, the oil flow resistance between the conductor 11 and the external passage 9 is large, which is disadvantageous in terms of oil supply.

(Purpose of the invention) The present invention was made with attention to these points, and a recess is formed along the length direction toward the center in the internal passage provided at the center of the conductor, and an insulating layer is provided in this recessed part. The above-mentioned drawbacks are attempted to be overcome by filling the internal passages with oil and refrigerant.

(Embodiment of the invention) Hereinafter, the invention will be explained based on the drawings of one embodiment. In FIG. 3, the internally cooled OF cable 12 includes a conductor 13 and an insulator 1 sequentially provided on the outer periphery of the conductor 13.
It is composed of a four-metal sheath 15 and a protective layer 16.

The size of the recesses 17 or the number of recesses formed are determined by the conditions required for the cable line, and are not limited to the embodiment shown in FIG.

(Effects of the invention) As mentioned above, in this invention, a recess is formed in the internal passage and this recess is filled with insulating oil, so the internal cooling does not increase the finished outer diameter of the cable.
An OF cable can be provided, and when a conductor is formed on the outer periphery of the internal passage, it can be easily formed without any new technology. Furthermore, since the inner passage is provided with a recess, the surface area of the inner passage increases, and the cooling effect becomes greater than that of the system shown in FIG. 1, thereby providing an internally cooled OF cable that can increase the power transmission capacity.
