Abstract

PURPOSE:To lower the manufacturing cost and to reduce in size for a burner assembly, in the title combustion apparatus, by providing a vaporizing chamber on the outer peripheral portion of the throat where vaporized fuel is mixed with air. CONSTITUTION:A vaporizing chamber 21 is a hollow cylinder having a bottom, monolithically built in a throat 4, surrounding it. Its upper opening is closed with a top cover 22. A liquid fuel fed by a pump 7 through an oil feeding pipe 8 is fed into the vaporizing chamber 21 from a fuel feeding port 9. The vaporizing chamber 21 is preheated by an electric heater 2, so that the fed liquid fuel is vaporized in a moment of time. When the internal pressure of a vaporizing chamber is increased by expansion of fuel by vaporing, the vaporized fuel is ejected into the throat 4 from a nozzle 3 via an introducing pipe 23. Air is sucked by the suction force of the fuel from an opening 13 at the bottom of the throat 4, and it is mixed with the vaporized fuel, becoming a mixed combustion gas, going up to a gap 14, being ignited properly, forming flames 15. Since the vaporizing chamber is provided around the throat where the vaporized fuel is mixed with the air, the manufacturing cost for a burner assembly is decreased, the size for a burner assembly and a vaporizing chamber are decreased.
