Abstract

PURPOSE:To drop a foreign substance properly toward the underside of a stacking part and remove the foreign substance by holding paper sheets off an intake roller together with a front panel when the paper sheets are not in an intake process. CONSTITUTION:Paper sheets are thrown into a throwing zone (a) between a front panel 1 and a backup 2. In this case, a foreign substance, if mixed therein, drops into a pan 28 via a gap on a floor 7. Thereafter, the floor 7 vibrates, the paper sheets are arrayed and the foreign substance completely drops into the pan 28. Furthermore, the backup 2 and the front panel 1 move toward an intake roller 3. Then, a part of the intake roller 3 projects internally through the notch of the front panel 1 and is pressed with the paper sheets. Succeedingly, the paper sheets are taken in with the roller 3 one by one, while double intake is being prevented with a gate roller 25, According to the aforesaid constitution, the foreign substance contained in the paper sheets can be completely removed.

If there is a foreign object, such as a coin or a paper clip, among the stacked paper sheets, it may get caught in the take-in section between the take-in roller and the double-sheet prevention mechanism placed opposite it. This may result in the inability to capture paper sheets or damage to the capture device.

[Configuration of the Invention (Means for Solving the Problems)] In order to solve these problems, the present invention includes a take-in roller that takes in paper sheets one after another, and a take-in roller that is arranged opposite to this take-in roller. A double-sheet-taking prevention mechanism for preventing paper sheets from being taken twice, a back-up for pressing the paper sheets against the take-in roller, and a front panel facing the back-up and facing the side where the take-in roller is arranged with respect to the paper sheets are provided. A front panel is supported so as to be movable toward and away from the take-in roller, and the front panel is moved away from the take-in roller when not taking in paper sheets, and moved to the side where the take-in roller is placed when taking in sheets. A part of the take-in roller is nested and protrudes inside the front panel, and this protrusion allows paper sheets to be taken in by being pressed against the take-in roller via the backup.

[Effects of the Invention] As explained above, according to the present invention, when paper sheets are not being taken in, the paper sheets M are kept separated from the taking-in roller together with the front panel, so that there are no coins, clips, etc. on the paper sheets. If a foreign object gets mixed in, the front panel restricts the foreign object and prevents it from entering the intake area between the intake roller and the double-sheet prevention R mechanism. This has the effect that it can be dropped and removed below the accumulation section.
