Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it impossible to copy a negotiable securities with high accuracy, by providing a ground tint of a pattern in the same color as that of a ground area and with a specified density on a paper colored with a low density, further providing a multicolored pattern ground tint, and performing desired printing thereon. CONSTITUTION:A paper colored with a low ground density of 0.1-0.4 is provided thereon with a ground tint pattern 5, 6 in the same color as that of a ground area and with a density higher than the ground density by 0.1-0.3 and a line width of not more than 100mum. The paper is further provided thereon with a ground tint pattern 2, 3, 4 constituted of highly accurate curves in plural colors such as dark green, brown and purple and with a line width of not more than 100mum and a pitch of 100-500mum, and printing necessary for forming a negotiable paper is performed on the paper. In the case of analog color copying of the negotiable paper thus obtained, when density is adjusted to the ground area 1, the high-density ground tint patterned areas 2, 3, 4 are made discernible, whereas when density is adjusted to the high-density ground tint patterned areas 2, 3, 4, it will be impossible to distinguish the ground area 1 and the low-density ground tint areas 5, 6 from each other.
