エンジンからトランスミツシヨン及び入力用ギヤ
列を介して入力されるトルクを分割して前輪側と
後輪側とに出力する4輪駆動車のトルク配分装置
であつて、上記入力ギヤ列からのトルクを分割す
る車軸間差動装置として、前輪側への出力トルク
と後輪側への出力トルクの配分比が異なる複数の
差動装置を備え、これらの車軸間差動装置と、こ
れらを選択的にトルク伝達状態とする切換機構と
を同軸上に配置すると共に、該軸上から前輪側及
び後輪側へ夫々トルクを出力する前輪用出力ギヤ
列及び後輪用出力ギヤ列を上記入力ギヤ列を挾ん
でその両側に配置し、且つトルク伝達状態にある
車軸間差動装置の各要素間の回転速度差が所定量
を超えた時にその差動動作を制限する差動制限機
構と、エンジン側に位置する車輪の車輪間差動装
置とを、上記複数の車軸間差動装置及びその切換
機構とは別軸上に設けて上記前輪用及び後輪用出
力ギヤ列の間に配置したことを特徴とする4輪駆
