Originally, this type of heater has the problem of contaminating the indoor air due to the hot combustion air, unlike heaters that exchange heat with the indoor air and exhaust the hot combustion air outdoors. Concentration is also attracting attention. This is because the burner conventionally used in this type of heater is a Bunsen burner that requires secondary air, and the formation of NOx is promoted by a high-temperature combustion reaction in the external flame due to contact with the secondary air. This is because the NOx concentration increases to 50 to 500 ppm.

In this case, if the burner were to be a full primary air combustion type radiant burner that does not require secondary air, which is used in conventional heat radiation type heaters, the NOx concentration would be reduced to 15 to 50 ppm, but this is still not enough. , it is desired to further reduce this.

Next, embodiments of the present invention will be explained with reference to attached drawings. In the drawing, reference numeral 1 indicates an outer casing of the heater, and inside the outer casing 1 there is a primary air combustion type radiant burner 2, and a hot air duct 3 that is airtightly connected to the burner 2 and extends upward.
and an exhaust port 3a at the upper end of the hot air duct 3.
The combustion hot air is discharged into the room from the exhaust window 1a on the upper front side of the outer casing 1, and the hot air duct is arranged in the upper part of the outer casing 1 from the intake window 1b on the back side of the outer casing 1. A circulation fan 4 is provided to circulate and blow indoor air to the exhaust window 1a through the outer periphery of the hot air duct 3, so that heat exchange between the hot combustion air and the indoor air is performed via the hot air duct 3.

In the illustrated example, the burner 2 is constructed of a so-called "Shubank" (registered trademark) type burner in which the combustion surface 2a is constructed of a porous ceramic plate, but the burner is not limited to this, and the firing surface may be constructed of, for example, a wire mesh. The burner 2 may be arranged in a combustion surface 2a as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
The combustion surface 2a is not limited to the upward arrangement with the combustion surface 2a facing upward, but may be arranged horizontally with the combustion surface 2a facing in the lateral direction as shown in the third figure. Also, the burner 2 has a
Next, the system is configured to be a forced air supply type that forcibly supplies air, and to explain this in detail with respect to the one shown in the figure, an air supply fan 6 driven by a motor 5 common to the circulation fan 4 is provided. , the pressurized air from the fan 6 is ejected from an air nozzle 8 arranged concentrically with the gas nozzle 7 toward the mixing pipe 2b,
In addition to the natural supply of primary air suctioned through the damper 9 as gas is injected from the gas nozzle 7, forced air supply using pressurized air is performed.

Here, to explain the process of perfecting the present invention, the inventor of the present application has developed a fully primary combustion type radiant burner 2.
Focusing on the relatively low NOx concentration of
In order to further reduce the NOx concentration, we believed that it was necessary to cut off the contact of the atmosphere with the combustion atmosphere, so we first conducted a combustion experiment by airtightly connecting the hot air duct 3 to the burner 2. Since it was found that the primary air method was not able to supply the amount of primary air necessary for combustion, a firing experiment was conducted by forcing the primary air as described above. At this time, it was found that when the excess air ratio (supplied air amount/required air amount) was changed, the NOx concentration also changed accordingly.

Furthermore, the inventor of the present application has changed the shape of the hot air duct 3 to a type A shown in FIG. 5 which does not have a resistance part in the straight middle, and a type A shown in FIG.
Experiments were conducted on type B, which was made into a resistance part by providing a curved part 3c, and type C, which gradually narrowed in width toward the top and had a bent part 3c in the middle, as shown in FIG. The results shown in Figure 6 were obtained. 6th
In the figure, the a 1 and a 2 lines indicate that the hot air duct 3 is of type A, the b 1 and b 2 lines indicate that it is of type B, and the c 1 and c 2 lines indicate that it is of type C. 3 shows changes in NOx concentration and NO 2 concentration at the exhaust port 3a when

As is clear from the figure, as the hot air duct 3 is changed from type A to type B to type C,
The concentration of NOx and NO 2 decreases, but this is because the flow of hot combustion air becomes slower in the latter type of hot air duct 3, and the combustion reaction is completed on the upstream side of the hot air duct 3, causing atmospheric air to enter the combustion atmosphere. This is thought to be because the occurrence of secondary combustion reactions due to contact can be more reliably prevented.

Also, if the excess air ratio is set to 1 or more, NOx and
The concentration of NO 2 decreases, but this is thought to be because the excess primary air in the combustion flame absorbs the heat of combustion reaction and the temperature of the flame decreases.

Incidentally, if the excess air ratio is increased too much, flame lift tends to occur and the CO concentration increases as shown by line d in FIG. 6. This increase in CO concentration can be changed by changing the structure of the combustion surface 2a of burner 2, and it is also possible to prevent an increase in CO concentration when the excess air ratio is below 2.0.

In addition, if primary air is forcedly supplied with an excess air ratio of 1 or more when igniting burner 2, the air-fuel mixture will be diluted and the ignitability will deteriorate. It is preferable to supply primary air only by air supply.

As described above, according to the present invention, a total primary air combustion type radiant burner is used instead of a Bunsen burner, a hot air duct is hermetically connected to the burner, and more than one primary air is supplied to the burner. This system provides forced air supply with an excess air ratio of A resistance part is provided in the middle of the duct to act as a resistance to the flow of hot combustion air, and the combustion reaction is completed on the upstream side of the hot air duct to ensure the occurrence of a secondary combustion reaction due to contact with the atmosphere in the combustion atmosphere. This has the effect of further reducing NOx concentration and preventing indoor air pollution due to NOx.
