て環状の第2案内レールが配設され、第1および
第2案内レールには、複数ずつの多軸ヘツドが走
行可能に支承され、第1および第2案内レール上
の各多軸ヘツドには、これらを角変位駆動するた
めの第1および第2インデツクス機構が連結解除
可能にしてそれぞれ連結され、前記可動レールと
ずれた位置で第1および第2案内レールの側方に
は、第1および第2案内レール間での多軸ヘツド
の交換を行なうための昇降機構が配設される多軸
ヘツド交換式工作機械において、昇降機構に対応
する部分で第1案内レールの固定レールの一部と
第2案内レールの一部とは、昇降レールとしてそ
れぞれ円弧状に分割され、昇降機構は、上下に延
びる案内柱に沿つて昇降可能であつて第1および
第2案内レールの昇降レールに連結される昇降体
と、第1案内レールの昇降レールを第1および第
