端部に固着された鉄片、7は筒状ケース4内に設
置されていて励磁された時鉄片6を吸着保持し得
る電磁石、8は電磁石を励磁するための熱電対、
9は熱電対8を加熱し得る位置に設置されたパイ
ロツトバーナー、10はコツク本体に摺動可能に
嵌挿されていて下端が弁棒3の上端に当接可能で
且つ弁座部1bに着座可能の補助弁体11を有す
る押し棒、12は補助弁体11を開弁方向へ弾圧
するスプリングであつて、その作動は次の通りで
ある。即ちパイロツトバーナー9の着火に当り押
し棒10をスプリング12に抗して押し込めば、
補助弁体11が弁座部1bに着座せしめられてガ
ス通路1aを引き続き遮断する一方弁体2は弁座
部1bより離れ、鉄片6は電磁石7に当接せしめ
られる。この操作によりパイロツトバーナー9へ
のガス通路のみは開放されるから、押し棒10の
押圧の最終段階で着火装置を働かしてパイロツト
バーナー9に着火すれば、パイロツト炎が形成さ
れて熱電対8が加熱される。従つて押し棒10を
所定時間押し続けると熱電対9には所定の大きさ
の熱起電力が発生し、電磁石7がスプリング5に
坑して鉄片6を吸着保持するに至り、押し棒10
の押圧を解除しても弁体2は開弁位置に保持され
る。従つてガス通路1aは開放されメインバーナ
ーは着火する。この状態で若しパイロツト炎が消
えると、熱起電力が消滅し、弁体2はスプリング
5により急速に閉弁位置へ移動せしめられるた
め、メインバーナーの火も自動的に消える。

ため、芯振れ等が原因で着座時この頭部が弁座部

があり、このため小型弁体ではシート202が弁
座面に片当りしスプリング5の弾力が弱いことゝ
相俟つて閉弁時確実にガス通路を遮断し得ないこ
とがあつた。このように従来の電磁弁における弁
