Abstract

PURPOSE:To reproduce an audio signal at the time of reproducing a still picture by providing a memory in which one-field share of a video signal can be stored, repeatedly reading out the video signal from the said memory as the still picture signal in accordance with a still picture reproducing instruction. CONSTITUTION:When a still picture reproducting instruction is issued from a control console 18 during the normal reproducing, a system control part 12 lets an address control circuit 11 control to stop the writing of data in a field memory 8, simultaneously connects a switch 13 to b-side. The reading of data from the memory 8 is executed at all time, and thus read out signals from the memory 8 are conducted to the terminal (b) of the switch 13 as still picture reproducing signals. Also, the action of a capstan control circuit 17 is not at all changed even when a still picture reproduction instruction is issued. In association with this, audio signals converted to base band signals in an audio signal reproduction processing circuit 5 are reproduced similarly as in the normal reproduction even if a still picture is being reproduced.

[Prior Art] An example of this type of device is a VTR (video tape recorder). In a VTR, the tape running control method and the arrangement of the rotating head are devised to reproduce still images and slow motion. A method has been realized for realizing special reproduction such as the following without significantly deteriorating the reproduced image. For example, a special playback dedicated head is provided separately from two normal playback heads that rotate with a phase difference of 180" and have different azimuth angles, and the special playback dedicated head and one of the normal playback heads are set at the same azimuth angle. A typical method is to obtain a noise-free still image by repeatedly reproducing the same track using these two heads by configuring the head to rotate with a phase difference of approximately 180''.

[Problems to be solved by the invention] However, when performing such special playback, the running speed of the tape is different from the running speed during normal playback, so it is impossible to play back the audio signal. It was possible. This is true whether the audio signal is recorded on a diagonal track along with the video signal or recorded on a longitudinal trunk separately from the video signal.

A tracking controller circuit (ATF circuit) 16 uses the signal output from the head amplifier 3 to form a tracking error signal and supplies it to a capstan control circuit 17. The tracking error signal may be formed using, for example, an M4 frequency system using four types of pilot signals that are further frequency-multiplexed with the video signal and the audio signal. The rotational phase of the capstan 19 is controlled by the tracking error signal output from the ATF circuit 16, so that the heads 2a and 2b accurately trace the recording track -F.

At this time, the RF signal reproduced from the magnetic tape l by the rotary reproduction heads 2a and 2b is converted into a continuous signal by the head amplifier 3 and then amplified. The signal is led out to the signal reproduction processing circuit 5. The video signal returned to its original signal form, that is, a television signal, by the video signal reproduction processing circuit 4 is input to the output selection switch 13.

Along with this still image reproduction command, the system controller 12

Connect to the side. Data is always read from the field memory 8, and the digital signal read from the field memory 8 is converted into an analog signal by the D/A converter 9.
It is led out to the terminal of the switch 13 via L P F t O. At this time, the video signal led out to the terminal b of the 13 is a repetition of the video signal of the same field, and is outputted from the terminal 14 as a still picture reproduction signal -.

- On the other hand, even in a poem in which a static image reproduction command is issued, the operation of the capstan control circuit 17 is not changed at all. Accordingly, even during still image playback, the audio signal converted into a baseband signal by the audio signal playback processing path 5 is transferred from the magnetic tape l, which is continuously being transferred at the same speed as during normal playback. An output based on the reproduced audio signal is led to terminal 15.

Thereafter, when the still image reproduction command is canceled by the operation of the operation unit 18, the switch 13 is connected to the a-side terminal, and the normally reproduced video signal is outputted from the terminal 14 again. Naturally, this video signal coincides in timing with the audio signal that continues to be output t'L during still image reproduction.

In addition, if the configuration is configured to allow data to be written to the field memory 8 for only one field in a predetermined period during the above-mentioned still image playback, the screen progresses once every fraction of a second to several seconds. The so-called frame-by-frame playback becomes the rotation.

According to the above-mentioned VTR, it has become possible to continue outputting audio signals even during still image playback and frame-drop playback. Moreover, no disturbance occurs in the output video signal even when switching from normal playback to still image playback or during still image playback.

In the above embodiments, the case where the audio signal is frequency-multiplexed with the video signal and recorded is explained as an example, or even in the case where the audio signal is recorded in the longitudinal direction at the end of the tape. Since regeneration is possible by running the vehicle at the same speed as during normal regeneration, the present invention is similarly applicable.
