Abstract

PURPOSE:To inspect a printed wiring board with making any indentation of a probe by providing a protection sheet made of a pressure conductive elastic body to the surface of the printed wiring board that the probe contacts. CONSTITUTION:A beam and a carriage are moved at right angles to each other and the probe 6 is set at necessary positions in prescribed order and then pressed against the protection sheet 5. Then, the pressed part of the protection sheet 5 becomes conductive to connect the probe 6 to the circuit pattern of the printed wiring board 4 electrically. In this state, the electrostatic capacity between a conductive plate 2 and the printed wiring board 4 or the resistance of the circuit pattern is measured by an electrostatic capacity meter 8 and a resistance meter 9 to inspect whether or not the circuit pattern is normal. Thus, the printed wiring board 4 is inspected without bringing the probe 6 into direct contact with the circuit pattern, so indentation due to the collision of the probe 6 is prevented from being generated.
