には一般に低粘度合成油が使用されることが多い。

に混合分散させた半固体であるため、長い間にはこれら
液体の潤滑基油がグリース中から分離し油分として広が
り出す性質がある。特に、潤滑基油の粘度が低いほど、

貯蔵時の温度が高いほどこの傾向は更に顕著となる。そ

の極めて小さい非拡散性グリースを開発せんと鋭意研究
を行ってきた。そして今回、グリースにある種の界面活
性剤を含有させることで、グリースの油分拡散を極めて
小さく抑えることができる非拡散性グリースを開発する
に至ったものである。 即ち、この発明に係る非拡散性グリースは、フッ素系界
面活性剤を少なくとも0.01wt%以上含有せしめる
ものである。 本来、界面活性剤は液体成分の表面張力を下げることに
より、油分の拡散を更に大きくさせてしまうものである
が、この発明でのフッ素系界面活性剤の場合は逆にグリ
ース中の油分の拡散を抑える機能をする。界面活性剤の
中でもこのフッ素系界面活性剤だけにグリースの油分拡
散を抑える機能があり、その他の一般的な界面活性剤を
含有させた場合には、グリースから油分が拡散しやすく
なってしまうものである。 更に、フッ素を含む油(例えば、三フッ化塩化エチレン
、パーフロロポリエーテル)を含有させても、油分拡散
防止機能を期待することができず、フッ素系界面活性剤
でなければならない。 ここで、フッ素系界面活性剤とは、疎水性基としてハイ
ドロカーボンチェーンをもつものでなく、完全にフッ素
化されたフルオロカーボンチェーン(パーフルオロカー
ボンチェーン)をもつ界面活性剤のことを総称したもの
である。具体的には、* フルオロアルキル(C2〜C

する試験を行った。最初に、第1図に基づいて試験方法
を説明する。まずグリース1を注射器により0.05 
ccづつ採り、スリガラス板(IQcmX 10ao)
  2の粗面側へ円形山型に塗布し、クリアランスをと
るため四隅に厚さ0.35mの平ワツシヤー3を載せる
。次に、同型のスリガラス板4を上に重ね、粗面同士を
向かい合わせた状態にして、グリース1が15顛の円形
になるように加圧する。そして、恒温槽(80℃)に入
れて24時間放置し、油分が拡散して(滲み出て)スリ
ガラス板2.4の粗面が半透明になった拡散部分5の拡
散幅(w )を測定し、この拡散幅から拡散率(%)を
求めた。尚、拡散率は以下のようにして計算するもので
ある。 拡散率(χ)−((拡散幅−15)÷15) X100
試験結果を以下の表に示す。 上記の表において、 *グリースタイプAとは;潤滑基油〔ポリαオレフィン
(粘度が100℃で6cst ) )に増ちょう剤〔リ
チウムヒドロキシステアレート〕を5.0wt%含有さ
せた、ちょう度が胤1で満点が203℃のグリースであ
る。 *グリースタイプBとは;潤滑基油〔ジエチルへキシル
セバケート〕に増ちょう剤〔トリウレア化合物〕を8w
t%含有させた、ちょう度が隘1で滴点が260℃のグ
リースである。 *フッ素糸界面活性剤タイプXとは;フッ素化アルキル
エステルである。 *フッ素糸界面活性剤タイプYとは;フルオロアルキル
(C8゜)カルボン酸である。 そして、上記表中に示した各実施例から判るように、フ
ッ素系界面活性剤を含有させたグリースにおいては、油
分の拡散がきわめて小さく、多少あっても無視できる程
度のものであった。これに対し、フッ素系界面活性剤を
全然含まない各比較例におけるグリースにあっては、油
分の著しい拡散が明確に確認された、 【効  果】 従って、この発明に係る非拡散性グリースは、精密機器
分野への用途、例えばカメラのへリコイド部、絞り機構
、或いは時計の軸受機構、マイクロモーターの回転軸、
各種ベアリング類、電子機器の機構部、スイッチ類など
への用途に好適である。また、フッ素系界面活性剤自体
の特性(耐薬品性、耐熱性)も、グリースの添加剤とし
ては好都合である。そして更に、このフッ素系界面活性
剤を、特にグリースタイプBに代表されるポリウレア系
グリースに含有させた場合には、ポリウレア系増ちょう
剤と合成炭化水素(或いは高粘度、高粘度指数鉱物油)
とのなじみが良くなり、グリース自体の品質を高めるこ
とができるという付随的効果も確認された。
