側で選択して光データ伝送を行なう光伝送方式に
おいて、送信側に、各伝送系毎に異常監視を行な
い異常が検出されたとき警報信号を発生する異常
監視手段と、この異常監視手段から警報信号が発
生されたときこの警報信号をデータ信号に重畳し
て受信側へ送出させる異常通知手段とを設け、か
つ受信側に、データ信号に重畳されている前記警
報信号を受信検出する警報信号受信手段と、この
警報信号受信手段により警報信号が受信検出され
たとき切換制御信号を発生して伝送系を正常なも
のに切換えさせる切換制御手段とを設けたことを
特徴とする光伝送方式。 (2) 異常通知手段は、データ信号に重畳して打
合せ信号を伝送している場合に、この打合せ信号
に警報信号を多重化して受信側へ送出させるもの
