Bunsen-style gas burners with slit-shaped flame holes formed on the combustion surface are known, for example, from Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 59-52116.
Those described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 59-52117 are known. These are made by grouping multiple slit-shaped flame holes into flame hole groups, and by arranging them parallel to the combustion surface with intervals between them, the contact area of the combustion flame with the secondary combustion air is reduced. This is intended to increase the load on the burner.

However, when slit-shaped flame holes are placed in parallel on the combustion surface with intervals, it is necessary to take some measures to facilitate the transfer of fire between the flame hole groups. In addition, when the burner is subjected to a high load, a flame lifting phenomenon tends to occur. Therefore, in an attempt to eliminate these drawbacks, conventional products tend to have complex structures and high manufacturing costs.

In order to solve the above-mentioned technical problem, this invention involves bending a single steel plate by bulging it symmetrically around the combustion surface 1, and attaching each edge to form a gas inlet opening 2 and a gas mixing A combustion surface 1 is formed at the upper end of the tube section 3 and the mixing tube section 3, a narrow flat section 4 is formed along both left and right edges, and a convex surface 5 extends in the longitudinal direction at the center.
are formed on the combustion surface 1, a group of slits 6 orthogonal to the longitudinal direction are arranged in parallel on the convex surface 5 with an interval 7 between them, and grooves 8 that cross the interval 7 are formed at appropriate positions of the interval 7 to operate the gas burner. It consists of

In the gas burner having the above configuration, the combustible gas and the primary air flow from the gas inlet opening 2 to the mixing pipe section 3.
The mixture is mixed and discharged from a group of slits 6 formed on the combustion surface 1. Here, the combustible gas is discharged from the slits located at both ends of the slit group 6 along the grooves 8, and therefore, the existence of the grooves 8 ensures that the flame is transferred between the adjacent slit groups 6. The combustible gas discharged from group 6 is quickly ignited and starts combustion.

The illustrated gas burner is manufactured by sheet metal work using a single steel plate as described above, and has a gas inlet opening 2, a mixing tube section 3, and a combustion surface 1 formed at the upper end of the mixing tube section 3.

The combustion surface 1 is provided with a convex surface 5 having a generally triangular cross-section and extending in the longitudinal direction, with narrow flat portions 4 formed along both left and right ends, and four rows of slits formed in the convex surface 5. Groups of slits 6 arranged in parallel at small pitches are regularly arranged at intervals of 7, and grooves 8 which are concave toward the inside across the intervals 7 are carved in alternating left and right directions at every interval 7. Therefore, the slits at both ends of adjacent slit groups 6 are connected by grooves 8 on the combustion surface 1.

The grooves 8 formed in the interval 7 ensure that the flame spreads between adjacent slit groups 6, and stable ignitability is ensured despite the existence of the interval 7.

Since narrow plane portions 4 are formed on both left and right edges of the combustion surface 1, the flame 9 formed by the slit group 6 generates a vortex along the side wall of the burner body and rises as an upward air current 10. Therefore, the flame lifting phenomenon can be prevented.

Since the slit group 6 is provided perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the convex surface 5 formed on the combustion surface 1, the flame 9 forms a fishtail flame with a large surface area and good contact with the secondary air. Since it serves as an air flow path, it is excellent in dispersing the secondary air on the combustion surface 1, so in combination with the above-mentioned advantages of the fishtail flame, extremely stable combustion with a short outer flame is realized, and it is resistant to changes in the gas amount. It is very stable, does not easily cause backfire, and has quiet combustion noise.

Since the outer flame of the flame 9 is short, the position of the heat exchanger can be set low, and the gas appliance can be downsized.
