This idea was developed to prevent flaws from occurring in the steel strip when hot-rolled, cold-rolled, surface-treated, etc. This relates to a sleeve that is attached to an unwinding shaft (hereinafter simply referred to as a reel). Conventionally, when winding steel strip onto the reel of a winding machine,
Top flaws that occur on the steel strip side (step-like flaws that occur when the second round of the steel strip overlaps the tip of the rolled steel strip. These flaws gradually become smaller as the number of rolled layers increases.
Also, slip flaws that occur on the steel strip side during winding or unwinding from an unwinding machine (when there is a difference in linear speed between the steel strip and the reel surface, or between the layers of the steel strip) In order to prevent the occurrence of scratches, a sleeve is attached to the outer circumference of the reel, but this sleeve is made of rubber (including both natural and artificial materials).
Proposals include rubber alone, rubber with synthetic resin embedded in some places, or a layer in contact with the steel strip made of kraft paper or synthetic resin. The structure is based on the shape of the sleeve surface in contact with the steel strip. Some inventions have been proposed, such as those in which the sleeve is made up of multiple layers. However, there may be oil attached to the steel strip,
When this oil adheres to the sleeve, slips occur between the steel strip and the surface of the sleeve, and even though the sleeve is installed, the occurrence of top flaws and slip flaws is unavoidable. Therefore, in such cases, either thoroughly clean the surface of the sleeve attached to the reel or the surface of the steel strip, or insert a piece of cardboard or the like between the reel and the steel strip, or the sleeve and the steel strip to remove the slip. However, the effect of preventing slips was not reliable, and it took a long time to reach the required strength when winding, resulting in poor workability and poor economic efficiency and safety. In view of the above-mentioned facts, this invention has been developed to provide a winding or unwinding method that reduces the occurrence of slip defects and allows the required standard tension to be reached in a short time when the steel strip is wound onto or unwound from the winder. Its purpose is to provide a sleeve for mounting on the reel of a rewinding machine. Based on an embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the structure of the sleeve A attached to the reel a of a winding or unwinding machine according to this invention will be explained in detail. 1 is a leather layer, 2 is a leather layer,
is a high-strength resin layer having elasticity, such as a nylon layer, and at least the layer in contact with the steel strip is formed of a leather layer 1 backed with a high-strength resin layer 2 having elasticity. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 1, a leather layer 3 may be further provided inside the elastic high-strength resin layer 2, and as shown in FIG. Alternatively, a structure in which the sleeve A is polymerized as shown in FIG. 1 may be used. Note that the leather layer 1 and the high-strength resin layer 2 are bonded together with an adhesive, but in order to improve the adhesion, another thin resin layer or thin cloth layer may be interposed between the two. do. In this invention, the layer in contact with the steel strip in sleeve A is made of leather, as shown in Table 1 below.

[Table] Clean the surface of the reel (in case 1), clean the beginning of winding the steel strip (in case 2), insert a cardboard between the steel strip and the rubber sleeve (in case 3). ), applying powder to the surface of the rubber sleeve (case 4), changing the properties of the surface of the rubber sleeve (cases 5 and 6), pasting a different material on the surface of the rubber sleeve ( 7,
Case 8), leather is partially pasted on the surface of the rubber sleeve (case 9), a cowhide sleeve is attached to the surface of the iron reel (case 10), or a layer made of cowhide is attached to the surface of the rubber sleeve. (11 cases) or artificial leather (Clarino) on the iron reel
The required tension (4.0Kgf/mm 2 ) can be achieved by fitting a synthetic sleeve (in the case of 12) or by providing a layer of artificial leather (Clarino) on the surface of the rubber sleeve (in the case of 13).
The time required to apply this to a steel strip (a cold-rolled steel strip whose surface is coated with oil) and the length at which slip flaws occur were determined through experiments, and the workability and safety were also examined. When the surface in contact with the leather layer is a natural material such as cowhide or an artificial material such as clarino (all of the above are collectively referred to as the leather layer in this specification) (10 to 13 in Table 1), the slip In addition, as shown in Figure 3, the layer in contact with the steel strip was made of a leather layer as described above, and a high-strength resin was added. 2. For example, attach sleeve A lined with a nylon layer to take-up reel a, and the take-up steel strip has the required standard tension (4.0 Kgf/
mm 2 ) Comparing the time required to reach p with a conventional steel reel (in the case) and one with a cardboard inserted between the rubber sleeve and the steel strip (in the case). In the case of , (in the case of this devised product), an excellent result of less than 2 seconds was obtained. When the layer in contact with the steel strip becomes a leather layer, slip defects are reduced because the coefficient of friction is considerably high (0.6 to 0.8).
In addition, even if oil is applied to the steel strip, it is thought that the leather layer absorbs the oil, and the shortening of the time required to reach the tension makes it difficult for the leather layer 1 to slip. This is thought to be because the leather layer is lined with the high-strength resin layer 2 having elasticity. Suitable examples of the above-mentioned elastic high-strength resin include those having a tensile strength of 3,000 Kgf/cm 2 or more, an elongation at break of 25% or more, and an elastic modulus of 12,000 Kgf/cm 2 or more, such as nylon. Since this device has the above-mentioned structure and function, slips are unlikely to occur between the sleeve attached to the reel and the steel strip, so slip defects are extremely reduced, and tension can be applied in a short time during winding. This can significantly improve work efficiency.
