The present invention relates to a cap in which the upper wall of the cap main body is made retractable and has a plurality of engagement pieces arranged in series around the circumference thereof, and can be attached to and detached from the can opening by operating the upper wall to extend and retract. In particular, it is an object of the present invention to provide a cap in which a gasket provided on the cap does not fall out of the cap even when each engagement piece is expanded by the operation of protruding and retracting the upper wall. As shown in FIG. 1, the mouth of a conventional can body is constructed by removably fitting a cap B into a mouth A provided on a top plate 1 of a can body (not shown). As for the cap B, as shown in FIG.
The entire cap is curved into a dish shape around the central bulge 12, so that it can be freely retracted, and the peripheral wall 13 of the cap body 10 is divided into a plurality of pieces along the circumferential side to form a plurality of elastic hooking pieces 14. It is formed by molding, and when it is fitted to the can opening A or the can opening C shown in the third figure, the closed cap B shown in the second figure is placed above the can openings A and C. At the same time, by forcibly pressing this against the can openings A and C, each elastic hooking piece 14 of the cap B is expanded along the inclined surface 5 of the can openings A and C, and its maximum outer diameter is expanded. At the same time, due to the elasticity of each elastic hooking piece 14, the tip of each elastic hooking piece 14 engages with the recess 6 provided around the entire circumference of the can openings A and C, thereby closing the cap B on the can. When the cap B can be fitted into the can openings A and C, and in the fitted state shown in the fourth figure, when removing the cap from the can openings A and C, the central bulging part 12 of the upper wall 11 should be removed with your fingers. By forcibly pushing it in, it can fall downward, and as a result, the entire dish-shaped upper wall 11 curves in the opposite direction, causing each elastic hooking piece 14 on the peripheral wall of the cap body 10 to expand outward. Since the cap B can be opened and the can openings A and C can be disengaged from the recesses 6, the cap B can be removed from the can openings A and C. In addition, by pressing the elastic hooking pieces 14 that have been expanded once on the removed cap B, it can be returned to the closed state shown in Fig. 2, and the can openings A and C can be opened again. It can be fitted and removed repeatedly in the same manner. However, when attaching and detaching the cap B, the central bulging portion 12 of the upper wall 11 is forcibly pushed in with the fingers, and each elastic hooking piece 1 of the cap body 10 is removed.
4 is expanded outward, the gasket 15 installed inside the main body 10 will fall off. That is, the interior of the packing 15 for the cap B is configured such that after the cap B is inserted into the expanded state of each elastic hooking piece 14, each elastic hooking piece 14 is held in a closed state. The outer diameter of the packing 15 is larger than the inner diameter of each elastic hooking piece 14 of the cap B in the closed state, but conversely, it is required that the outer diameter is such that it can be charged in the expanded state. Usually, each elastic hooking piece 14 is formed to have the same or slightly smaller inner diameter than the inner diameter when expanded. Therefore, at least the outer diameter of the packing 15 has a dimension that allows it to be accommodated within the cap body 10 when each elastic hooking piece 14 is expanded. This means that the gasket 15 will fall off. For example, if the gasket 15 falls off while handling cap B, or if it fits into can openings A and C, the gasket 15 will be able to hold the cap B in place. Therefore, when the cap B is pressed against the can openings A and C, the gasket 15 may come into close contact with the rim of the can openings A and C. This is clear from the fact that the gasket 15 is often left behind at the can openings A and C. Therefore, the present invention was developed with the aim of providing a cap that can prevent the defect of the packing 15 from falling off in the conventional cap B, and at the same time, a cap that can improve the pressure resistance and durability of the can opening. I would like to make a proposal. An embodiment of the cap according to the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 5 and 6. FIG. 5 is a central vertical cross-sectional view of the cap D according to the present invention, where 20 is a cap body, this cap body 20 has a bulge 22 in the center of an upper wall 21, and is curved as a whole into an inverted dish shape. The upper wall 21 is configured to be freely retractable by pressing the bulging portion 22 or pressing the side wall 23 of the cap body 20. Further, by dividing the side wall 23 of the cap body 20 into a plurality of pieces, a plurality of elastic engaging pieces 24 are provided, and then a gasket 30 is inserted into the main body 20.
The engaging end 25 is provided at the leading end of each engaging piece 24 by curling the leading end of each engaging piece 24 inside. The outer diameter of the packing 30 is larger than the inner diameter of each engaging end 25 when each engaging piece 24 is expanded outward. Now, the cap D according to the present invention has the above-mentioned structure, and the structure of the can mouth into which it is fitted will be explained with reference to FIG. 6. As shown in FIG. 6, a truncated cone-shaped cylindrical portion 27 is integrally formed at a predetermined position of the top plate 26, and
By curling (curving) the opening edge 28 of the cylindrical portion 27 outward to provide an annular engagement edge 29,
A can mouth E is formed on the top plate 26. The operation of fitting and removing the cap D to and from the can opening E can be performed in the same manner as the conventional cap B with an elastic hook, and FIG. 6 shows the fitted state. Then, the engaging end 2 of each engaging piece 24 of the cap D
5, the engagement action of each engaging piece 24 with respect to the can mouth E was significantly improved. This means that the engagement effect between the conventional can opening A or C and the cap B with the elastic hooking piece is sufficiently exerted only by engagement with the engagement edge 29, and that this can withstand practical use. We will explain the pressure resistance test and depressurization test conducted to prove this. For convenience, the cap D of the present invention is referred to as a curled cap, the top plate with can opening E is referred to as a top plate for curled opening, the conventional cap B is referred to as a royal cap, and the top plate with can opening A is referred to as a top plate for royal opening. I'll decide. A. Pressure resistance test (1) Test method: Using a #40 curled cap and #40 curled top plate, #40 royal cap and #40 royal top plate, cap the top plate with or without a protector. The top plate was tightened with a pressure tester, air was pumped in, and the value at the beginning of leakage was measured. (2) Test results

[Table] As is clear from the above A, pressure test and decompression test, the sealing device using the cap D of the present invention exhibits superior airtightness and watertightness compared to the conventional can opening, and has sufficient It has been demonstrated that it can withstand practical use. In particular, from the table of test results above, the sealing device using the cap of the present invention shows remarkable results when the protector is not attached compared to the conventional can opening, and in the depressurization test, the sealing device uses the invented cap. Not only were the numerical values significant regardless of the presence or absence of the protector, we were also able to obtain data that is incomparable to conventional can openings. Furthermore, the effects of the cap D of the present invention include, as is clear from the fitted state shown in FIG. The elasticity of the engaging rim 29 of the can opening E works, and compared to conventional caps that rely on the elasticity of a mere engaging claw, the engaging action can be improved, resulting in an extremely solid can. It is possible to ensure that it fits into the mouth. Furthermore, since the tip of the engaging claw is curled to provide the engaging end 25, the engaging claw can be strengthened, and the cap can be made more durable than conventional caps. Therefore, it is possible to prevent and reduce damage to the product due to crushing during packaging, transportation, and other handling, and also to prevent damage during use of the cap. Moreover, in conventional caps, the spacing between adjacent engaging pawls causes engagement between the caps, which hinders automatic attachment of the caps. According to the above, since the tip of the engaging claw is curled to provide the engaging end 25 for engagement, the distance between adjacent engaging claws can be reduced and engagement between the curled portions can be completely prevented. It can be carried out without any line defects such as automatic cap mounting. Furthermore, the gaskets in conventional caps often fall off when the engaging claws are expanded, and the caps had to be reattached each time, but according to the cap D of the present invention,
Prior to curling each engaging end of each engaging piece of the cap body, a gasket having a diameter larger than the inner diameter of each engaging end when each engaging piece of the cap body is expanded is placed on the cap body. After being installed inside each engaging piece, the tip of each engaging piece is curled to form an engaging end, and the packing is locked by each engaging end, so the packing is a cap. It has the advantage that it is always locked by each engaging end on the inside of each engaging piece of the main body, and can be prevented from falling off even when it is expanded, which is also a great advantage for managing the cap.
