Generally, when taking an electrocardiogram or the like, a paste-like conductive cream is interposed between the electrode and the body surface. However, in the case of this cream, not only does it require the troublesome work of wiping off the cream remaining on the body surface after measurement, but the amount of cream applied may be uneven, and the cream may run off due to body temperature. The drawback was that poor contact between the electrodes and the skin occurred due to the contact between the electrodes and the skin, making it impossible to obtain accurate electrical signals.

This pad solves various drawbacks that occur when using cream, but since the electrode contact surface and the skin contact surface of the pad have the same adhesiveness, it is difficult to remove the pad by holding the electrode part after measurement. At times, the pads may get stuck on the skin surface, and if you want to use them repeatedly, it is necessary to peel them off from the skin surface and re-adhere them to the electrode surface.

The present invention provides an electrode pad made of such an adhesive hydrogel, which always peels off from the skin surface together with the electrode when the electrode part is held and pulled after measurement. The gist is that an adhesive area adjusting member is attached to the skin-contacting surface of the plate-shaped adhesive hydrogel.

In the drawings, 1 is a plate-shaped sticky hydrogel body formed into a desired shape such as a square, rectangle, circle, or donut shape, and 2 is a gel attached to the skin contact surface of the gel body 1. This adhesive area adjusting member is made of a window frame-shaped film that does not substantially inhibit the adhesion between the body 1 and the skin.

The adhesive hydrogel body includes a gelled product obtained by mixing and stirring water and one or more water-soluble substances such as agar, carrageenan, gum arabic, polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyvinyl alcohol, gelatin, and carboxymethyl cellulose, and hydrophilic polyether. Gelled products produced by reacting polyurethane prepolymers with water, polyacrylic acid and/or polyacrylates, and crosslinking agents such as triglycidyl isocyanurate, polyethylene glycol diglycidyl ether, glycerin triglycidyl ether, etc. Adhesive water-containing gels such as cross-linked gels are produced by reacting a compound having at least two epoxy groups with water. Polyhydric alcohols such as glycerin and propylene glycol are used to improve adhesiveness.
Each can be added.

According to experiments conducted by the inventors of the present invention, it has been found that a crosslinked hydrogel compound is the most preferable in that it does not leave any residue on the skin surface.

The window frame-shaped film (or sheet) to be attached to the skin-contacting surface of the gel body can be made of a thin material such as plastic film, paper, or nonwoven fabric, and the thickness is generally in the range of 10 to 300 μm, and the window frame width H is generally in the range of 1 to 15 mm.

In addition to the above-mentioned window frame-like film, the adhesive area adjusting member 2 may be made of a coarse base material made of synthetic and/or natural fiber yarn, such as cheesecloth, a net-like nonwoven fabric, or a net-like plastic film molded product. It can be used without any particular restrictions as long as it is substantially non-adhesive (including weakly adhesive). The coarse size is generally in the range of 0.1 to 10 mm, and the thickness is generally in the range of 15 to 500 μm.

Since the electrode pad of the present invention has the adhesive area adjusting member attached as described above, the adhesive area on the skin surface is smaller than that on the electrode side, and when peeled off, the boundary between the member and the gel body is the starting point of peeling. Therefore,
The feature is that the electrodes can be easily removed from the skin surface by pulling the electrode portion after measurement.
