Point-of-purchase advertising, commonly called POP advertising,
While advertising through general mass media targets the general public, advertising targets customers at the point of purchase, which usually means in-store advertising. In other words, when a customer enters a store with the purpose of purchasing a certain product (or even a customer without a clear purpose of purchase), the customer subconsciously has an image of a general advertisement in his or her head. On the other hand, the advertisement must have an influence that will make the customer decide on the product at the decisive moment when they are about to purchase it. this
In recent years, robots have been appearing in POP advertisements, and advertising robots with moving limbs and human language are often used. However, in the highly competitive world of product distribution, POP advertising for in-store sales promotions uses movements of limbs and synthesized voices with a limited number of words to pronounce the product name.
Alternatively, when using an advertising robot that only displays (or rotates) limited advertising slogans on its body, the salesperson can convey the information that they want to advertise to customers, such as the product's excellence, attractiveness, and low price. The problem is that it is not enough to advertise.

This idea was made to further enhance the advertising function of the conventional in-store advertising robot mentioned above, and it can accommodate sales promotion documents such as catalogs and pamphlets that contain all the information you want to advertise the product. The present invention aims to provide a robot for in-store advertising that can enhance the advertising effect and contribute to the increase in sales of the store by providing the information to customers as needed. In other words, an operating mechanism that moves the neck and arms attached to the torso vertically or horizontally;
At least one mechanism selected from the following: a light-emitting mechanism that causes the head to emit light; a voice-producing mechanism that reproduces and utters words spoken in advance; and a display mechanism that displays or rotates advertising slogans in a display window on the front of the body. A robot for in-store advertising is equipped with a detection mechanism that detects the approach of a person and issues a signal. This invention relates to a robot for in-store advertising, characterized in that it is provided with a drive mechanism for moving the storage box in and out of the front of the body so that a person approaching the robot can take out the advertising document.

An embodiment of this invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a front view showing the internal structure of an in-store advertising robot according to an embodiment, and FIG. 2 is a side view thereof (the external shape is indicated by a chain double-dashed line). The in-store advertising robot 1 includes motors 3, 4, 6 and link mechanisms 5, 6, 7 provided at respective joints with the body 2.
The neck 8 and both arms 9 and 10 move up and down. A lamp 11 is provided within the head 8 covered with a transparent plastic material and emits light as appropriate. A detector 13, which is attached to the detection window 12 at the front of the head and which detects an approaching customer and inputs a detection signal to a microcomputer described later, functions just like the human eye. A display window section 14 is provided on the chest on the front side of the body section 2, and an advertising phrase written on the outer peripheral surface of the rotating signboard 15 is displayed on this display window 14. The rotating signboard 15 includes, for example, a bottom disc 1 integral therewith.
6 is directly connected to the rotating shaft of a motor 18 attached to the partition plate 17, and is rotated in a horizontal plane by the drive of the motor 18, thereby continuously rotating and displaying the above advertisement phrase. A speaker 19 is installed at the bottom of the fuselage 2, and the words on a cassette tape 20 on which advertising words are recorded in advance are reproduced and uttered by an audio reproduction unit 22 in a control panel 21. The control panel 21 further includes a power supply unit 23 and a microcomputer 24.
is provided to supply power to each part and control the operation of each part. The microcomputer 24 operates the motors 3, 4, 6, 18, the lamp 11 and the audio reproduction unit 22 synchronously based on the signal from the head detector 13. Also, when a person shakes hands, the pressure sensor 2 installed on the right hand 9
The audio reproduction unit 22 is activated by the signal No. 5 as well, and the speaker 19 produces sound. Note that illustration of electrical wiring of each part is omitted.

The above configuration is almost the same as that shown in the specification "In-store advertising robot" of Utility Model Application No. 190386, but the in-store advertising robot 1 of this invention has a Catalogs or brochures containing promotional materials for products (3rd and 4th)
Storage box (drawer) 2 that stores a large number of items 25) in the figure
6 can be put in and taken out freely. This storage box 26
The catalog 25 or the like is housed inside with its longitudinal direction horizontally, and rails 27 provided on both sides thereof.
By the action of the rollers 28, it can be easily taken in and out up to the distance L in front of the body. The above-mentioned loading and unloading of the storage box 26 is carried out by the detection signal sent by the detector 13 of the head 8 mentioned above when a customer approaches, which is attached to the partition plate 31, and also activated by the command signal of the previously mentioned microcomputer 24. This is done by rotating the reversible motor 29. FIG. 3 shows that the storage box 26 is moved by the crank mechanism 30 as indicated by the arrow A when the motor 29 rotates in the direction of the arrow a.
This is a plan view showing a state in which the product is pushed out by an amount L from the front face 2 of the fuselage in a linear motion in the direction, and in this state, the customer can obtain detailed information about the product by taking out the internal catalog 25 and reading its contents. I can do it. Next, when the customer leaves the robot 1, the microcomputer 24 is activated by the signal from the detector 13.
The motor 29 is reversed by an operation command from
Rotate the crank mechanism 30 in the direction of the dotted arrow b,
Pull the storage box 26 back in the direction of the dotted arrow B. Fourth
The figure is also a plan view showing a state in which the storage box 26 is stored in the body section 2, and 36 is a follower lever.
When the next customer approaches during the movement process from FIG. 3 to FIG. 4, the motor 29 is reversed again in the direction of arrow a, returning the storage box 26 to the state shown in FIG. 3. The drive side lever 32 of the crank mechanism 30 is not directly connected to the rotating shaft 33 of the motor 29, but is integrated with the magnetic coupling 35 on the same axis by two screws 34. The motor 29 drives the crank mechanism 30 through the magnetic attraction force. This is because, for example, if the detector 13 issues a signal to store the storage box 26 while the customer is taking out the catalog 25, the customer's finger will be caught between the storage box 26 and the body 2. At this time, the crank mechanism 30 stops its movement in the B direction against the magnetic attraction force of the magnetic coupling 35, and the motor 29 idles to prevent harm to the customer due to finger jamming.
