発明が解決しようとする課題

て、上記両板金部材の夫々の板厚の和に略等しい
長さの薄肉部を形成し、しかる後、この薄肉部を
基準として一方の板金部材の端部をU形に折曲げ

板11の端部11aをプレスにより直角に折曲
げ、且つ折曲げと同時に前記端部11aの折曲部
近傍12を板厚方向に加圧してその板厚を僅かに
薄くする。この薄肉部12は、厚みを外板11の
板厚tより約0.2mm程薄くし、且つ長さlを外板
11の板厚tと内板10の板厚t2との和に略等し
い長さに設定しておく。この加圧はプレスの上型
に対応する突起等を形成しておけばよい。次に外
板11の内側に内板10の端部10aを重ね合わ
せた後プレスにより外板11の端部11aをU形
に折曲げて内板10の端部10aの内側に重ねて
これを包込むように挾持させて両者を結合させ

点を直線状に整形することができる。したがつ
て、自動車のドア等に適用すれば、ドアの周縁部
がきれいに整形され、車体との隙間を一定にでき
