パウチ(スタンデイングパウチ)が広く用いられ
ている。この自立性パウチは、底部に略々W字状

することにより形成される自立性の包装袋(たと
えば実開昭57―110039号公報参照)であり、内容
物を充填後、頂部をシールすることにより第1図
に側面図を示すような充填・封止状態が得られ
る。

酸性内容液を充填する場合には、一般に内容液自
体を加熱して充填し、封止した後、特にレトルト
殺菌することなく市場に供給される。これは、内
容液自体の耐菌性が高いことならびに内容液温に
よるパウチの加熱殺菌効果を利用しているためで
ある。しかしながら、このような充填・殺菌法に
も一つの問題点が見出された。それは、第1図に
示すように加熱充填後の自立性パウチ1には通
常、上部空間2が生じ、ここと接触するパウチ壁
3の温度は、内容液4の温度よりかなり低くなる
ためである。一例として、公称容量200gの容器
に92℃の湯200gを充填した場合、上部空間(約
7c.c.)と接触する器壁温度が54℃となる結果が得
られている。したがつて、このような充填方法に
したがう限り、上部空間と接触する器壁部の充分
な殺菌効果は得られず、酵母などの細菌の生存に
より腐販の起る原因となる。この問題は、加熱充
填後にパウチをレトルト殺菌すれば解決される
が、レトルト殺菌は、高価な設備を要し、エネル
ギー的にも必ずしも有利でない。

Therefore, as long as such a filling method is followed, a sufficient sterilizing effect cannot be obtained on the container wall that comes into contact with the upper space, and the survival of bacteria such as yeast causes spoilage. This problem can be solved by retort sterilization of the pouch after heating and filling, but retort sterilization requires expensive equipment and is not necessarily advantageous in terms of energy.

した自立性パウチの上部空間との接触部を選択的

菌は、たとえば第2図に示すようにして行われ

てホルダー5により保持され、充填ラインに沿つ
て(すなわち第2図の紙面と直角方向に)移送さ
れる過程で、充填ラインとほぼ平行に配置された
パイプ6から熱水又はスチームを器壁3へと直接
吹き付けることにより当該器壁3の選択的加熱殺
菌が行なわれる。なお、パイプ6は必要に応じ
て、しやへい板7で囲われる。

すればよい。この際、内容液と既に接触していた
パウチ器壁の温度変化はないが、液と新たに接触
した上部器壁は選択的に加熱されることになる。
具体的態様としては、たとえば第3図に示すよう
に、パウチ1の下部を収容して保持したホルダー
5をベルトコンベア8によつて移送するに際し
て、このコンベアベルト8に隆起部9を設ければ
よい。この隆起部9を通過する前後において、ホ
ルダー5に収容されたパウチは左右に(すなわち
進行方向の前後に)傾斜させられ、上部空間2と
接触するパウチの上部器壁は、内容液4と接触し
て加熱される。なお容器の傾斜方向は第3図と直
角の方向、すなわちコンベアベルトの進行方向の
左右に行つてもよい。また上記した内容液との接
触による上部器壁の加熱は、特に図示しないが、
コンベアベルト等の搬送手段に適宜の振動を与え
てパウチを揺動することによつてもできることは
容易に理解できよう。
