In a decorative device that uses the light of a light-emitting object such as a candle, if a device that plays sound, especially music, is built-in, it is possible to increase the decorative effect not only visually but also aurally. Small-sized sound generating means such as so-called electronic music boxes with stored information have also been put into practical use.

FIG. 1 shows an overall perspective view of a decorative device according to the present invention. First, the overall external configuration will be described with reference to the same figure. The decorative device designated by reference numeral 1 has a base 2 at its lower part and a light emitting part 3 at its upper part. The base part 2 consists of a cylindrical support part 4 and a base part 5 whose hem part is widened to prevent it from falling down. On the other hand, the light emitting part 3 has a hollow oval shape and consists of a decorative cover 6 made of glass and a candle 8 housed inside. This decorative cover 6 has an opening 7 at the top and an opening at the bottom, and can be attached to and detached from the support 4. Further, the decorative cover 6 is formed into a translucent shape with various colors and patterns applied thereto. Note that the base 2 is also given a desired color and pattern, taking into consideration the appearance design.

Further, a photodiode 16 is disposed below the outer periphery of the support 9, and this is a storage section 9 in which a part of the periphery of the support 9 is bulged outward as shown in FIG.
It is attached inside a and is configured as a light detection means 17. As shown in FIG. 3, the storage portion 9a has a substantially triangular longitudinal section, and a reflective portion 9b is provided on the inner surface of the upper inclined portion. Further, the photodiode 16 is disposed so as to face the reflecting section 9b, so that the reflected light from the reflecting section 9b can be detected. As a result, in the detection means 17, the light from diagonally downward, that is, the transmitted light that has passed through the inside of the candle 8, is detected by the reflection section 9b.
L 1 (diffuse reflected light), or direct light from candle 8a whose height has decreased as candle 8 burns out over time
L 2 is detected through the respective reflecting portions 9b, and unnecessary light from the outside such as indoor light is not detected at all.

FIG. 4 shows an electrical circuit diagram of the decoration device 1.
The LSI 11 is a chip element mainly composed of a ROM that stores digitized melody information.
This LSI 11 is connected to the speaker 14 via an amplifier circuit 18, the battery 12 via a main switch 19, and the photodiode 16 to required terminals, as well as a volume adjustment circuit 20 and necessary auxiliary circuits. Connect and wire. With the above circuit configuration, when the photodiode 16 detects light with the main switch 19 in the ON state, a detection current is supplied to the LSI 11, and by this detection,
The melody information is read out in the LSI 11, and the read melody information is D/A converted within the LSI 11, and music based on the melody information is played from the speaker 14. This LSI
The reading of the melody information in step 11 is executed only when the photodiode 16 is detecting light, and the reading is stopped when the light disappears.
