Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the area and deformation of a reticular grid by providing the reticular grid between the cathodes and a part of plural anodes while providing the grids made of a conductive material on an anode substrate about the remaining anodes. CONSTITUTION:Grids 4a made of graphite are provided on an anode substrate 5 about anodes 2a having the phosphor layers 3a. Then, a reticular grid 4b is provided between the anodes 2b having the phosphor layers 3b on the other side and the cathodes 1. In this case, the grids 4a made of a conductive material is provided on a dynamic driving part and the reticular grids 4b are provided on a static driving part. By said constitution, the area of the reticular grid 4b is reduced while reducing its deformation.

An example of the grid structure of a conventional fluorescent display tube is shown in FIG. A fluorescent display tube 10 consisting of a vacuum-tight container constituted by an anode substrate 5 and a cover glass 6 includes a plurality of cathodes 1 that emit electrons, and a cathode 1 provided on an electrode substrate 5 that emits light by collision of electrons. A plurality of anodes 2 and a mesh-like grid 4 are provided between the cathode 1 and the anode 2 so as to cover the entire anode.

〔発明が解決しようとする問題点〕[Problem that the invention seeks to solve]

Since the grid of the conventional fluorescent display tube described above covers the entire anode, when the anode area is large, the grid area also becomes correspondingly large. If the grid area is large, the deformation of the grid due to grid loss becomes large, and the distance between the grid and the anode becomes inconsistent, which not only makes it impossible to obtain uniform display brightness, but also when the deformation of the grid is particularly large. There is a problem with the grid touching the cathode or anode.

〔問題点を解決するための手段〕[Means for solving problems]

The fluorescent display tube of the present invention has a mesh-like grid provided between a cathode and a portion of a plurality of anodes, and a grid made of a conductive layer provided around the remaining anodes on the same surface as the anode.
They are installed in the same display tube.

Therefore, even if the anode area is large, the area of the mesh grid will not be correspondingly large, and therefore the deformation of the grid due to grid loss will not be large and the distance between the grid and the anode will not be large! Since it is kept constant, uniform display brightness can be ensured, and the problem that the grid is connected to the cathode or the anode is also solved.

FIG. 1 is a sectional view of one embodiment of the fluorescent display of the present invention. A grid 4a made of graphite with a thickness of 80 to 50 μm and a width of 1 to 2 islands is provided on the electrode substrate 5 around the anode 12a having the phosphor layer 718a, and the anode 2b having the other phosphor layer 3b. A mesh-like grid 4b made of 426 alloy and having a thickness of about 50 μm is provided between the electrode 1 and the cathode 1. In this case, a grid 4 made of conductive material

As explained above, the present invention provides a mesh-like grid between a cathode and a part of a plurality of anodes, and a grid made of a four-way substance on the @electrode substrate around the remaining anodes. By reducing the area of the mesh-like grid, uniform display brightness can be obtained and the problem of the grid being deformed and coming into contact with the cathode or anode can be solved.
