磁性トナーを供給する現像剤担持体と、この現像
剤担持体上に付着されるトナー層の厚さを均一に
規制せしめるように設置された薄層化規制部材と
を備えてなる現像装置において、上記現像剤担持
体を、外圧に追随して可撓する弾性ローラ部材か
ら形成するとともに、この現像剤担持体に接触さ
れる薄層化規制部材を、硬質ローラ部材から形成
してなり、上記薄層化規制部材は、現像剤担持体
に対して接触・離間可能に設置されるとともに、
この薄層化規制部材には、該薄層化規制部材に付
着するトナーを掻き落すトナー掻き落しブレード
