Synthetic resin casting model mounting plates are widely used in the casting industry because they do not require precision machining and have the advantages of being lightweight and inexpensive.
Such a surface plate is made of a hard and wear-resistant material due to the required properties, but on the other hand, it is hard and therefore brittle. Therefore, when using
Or by being propped up during storage.
There was a risk that the edges would be chipped. This causes rattling of the wear-resistant metal plates and the like disposed near the edges, resulting in castings with defects in method and shape.

Therefore, the inventor came up with the idea of arranging a metal plate at the edge of the surface plate in order to increase the strength of the edge.

However, when the metal plate is disposed at the edge of the surface plate, precision machining of the edge of the metal plate is not easy, resulting in an increase in production costs.

This invention was made in view of the above circumstances.
While retaining the strength and wear resistance that can be obtained by arranging a metal plate on the edge of the surface plate, it is especially possible to reliably prevent edge breakage, and precision machining of the edge is easy and economical. It is an object of the present invention to provide an advantageous casting model mounting surface plate.

Next, to explain the method for manufacturing the casting model mounting surface plate 1, as shown in FIG. A resin such as urethane resin is poured to form an elastic resin layer 4. Next, as shown in FIG. 4, the core material 2 is placed on the metal plate 5, and the mold 6 is covered with the lid 7. Then, from the injection hole 7a provided in the lid 7,
A resin such as epoxy resin is injected into the mold 6 to form a highly wear-resistant resin layer 3 around the core material 2.
In FIGS. 2 and 4, 9 is a hole through which resin is poured into the lower surface through the core material.

According to the casting model mounting surface plate of the present invention, since the highly elastic resin layer 4 is formed on the edge, there is no risk of the edge being chipped even if a shock is applied during use. .

Generally, the flask 8 is placed on a base 10, but when the width of the flask 8 is narrower than the surface plate 1 as shown in FIG. , the flask 8' must be placed on the main surface plate. In that case, in a conventional surface plate whose surface is made only of resin, the contact surface with the flask quickly wears out, whereas in the surface plate of the present invention, the flask 8 is placed on the metal plate 5. It can withstand harsh molding operations and maintain its performance.

As described above, according to the casting model mounting surface plate according to the present invention, the upper surface of the edge is made up of a resin layer made of an elastic resin and a metal plate disposed inside the resin layer. Therefore, while the metal plate ensures at least the strength and abrasion resistance of the edges, the elasticity of the resin layer prevents it from falling and impact when used or propped up during storage. Even if the product is subjected to impact, the impact will be relaxed, so it is possible to reliably prevent the edges from being damaged. Also, the edges of the edges, which require strict processing precision, should be made of resin that is easy to process. It can be easily formed from
Therefore, industrially advantageous effects such as being able to reduce manufacturing costs are brought about.
