いて、硬度の高い工作物に対して砥石の圧接力が
大きすぎると、摩擦抵抗が極端に大きくなり、砥
石が回転しなくなつて切削不良を生ずることとな
り、硬度の低い工作物に対して砥石の圧接力が大
きすぎると切削過多が生じ、また、工作物と砥石
との圧接力を小さくしすぎると切削時間が長くか
かり作業効率が低下する等の多くの問題点があつ
た。そこで、特開昭57−194877号公報に見られる
ように、シリンダーに押えばねをもつて下向きに
押圧された状態で嵌挿された支持枠体内にモータ
により回転する砥石車を備えた回転研削工具本体
を揺動ができるように保持させることによつて前
記のような問題点を解決する技術が公開されてい
る。

保持させるとともに、該回転研削工具本体の下方
部を前記中空ピストンの下方部内壁に囲設されて
気圧調整機構に接続された圧力調整自在な圧縮空
気式式の弾性保持部材をもつて抱持させたことを
特徴とするものである。

転研削工具本体7の下方部外壁を弾性的に抱持す
る軟質ゴム等よりなる膜状の弾性保持部材9がリ
ング状に囲設されて前記中空ピストン3の下方部
と該弾性保持部材9とをもつて空気室10が形成
されており、該空気室10には気圧調整機構11
を介して圧縮空気が導入されるようになつてい
る。また、気圧調整機構11は減圧弁12と圧力
計13とからなるもので、空気室10の内圧を任
意の値に設定することができ、この減圧弁12を
調節することにより圧縮空気式の弾性保持部材9
を調整自在に膨出させて回転研削工具本体7に対
する弾性的な保持力を可変としており、工作物の
硬度に応じて回転研削工具本体7の先端に取付け
られて内蔵するエアモータや電動モータで回転す
る砥石車14と工作物との圧接力を変えることが
できるようになつている。

り、従来のこの種回転研削工具の問題点を解決し
たものとして実用的価値極めて大なものである。
