Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate a need of a dedicated erasing circuit and to simplify a circuit without demagnetizing data tracks neither distorting a reproduced waveform by providing an auxiliary core with a second main magnetic pole. CONSTITUTION:When a high frequency recording data signal is allowed to flow to an exciting coil 10, a magnetic exciting core 11 is excited to form a magnetic path passing first and second main magnetic poles 8 and 9. Then, the data signal is recorded by rear edge parts of magnetic poles 8 and 9. Recorded data 13a and 13b have angles of inclination to each other, and the magnetic pole 8 reproduces data 13a by the azimuth effect at the time of reproducing. Meanwhile, the magnetic pole 9 cannot reproduce the high frequency signal because it is thicker. Therefore, data 13b is not reproduced through being recorded, and the same effect as AC erasing is attained to prevent an influence of crosstalk.
