Conventionally, when bonding leather and cloth, for example, if adhesive or adhesive was applied to the entire surface and bonded,
Because angular wrinkles tend to form, a method has been used in which a bottom-melt adhesive is applied to the base fabric in dots and the base fabric and the leather are bonded together in dots. However, with hot melt adhesives, the adhesive must be heated and melted during application, and the viscosity when melted is generally high, so the normal roll coating method is not possible, so hot melt adhesives in the form of rods or strings are The method used is to melt and apply it little by little from the tip using a melting machine. Therefore, manufacturing the base fabric coated in dots was a very troublesome task. Furthermore, even when using a base fabric coated with a hot-melt adhesive in this way and point-bonding it to the leather, a process of heating and pressurization is required, and it is necessary to apply heat and pressure in the hollow areas such as seams of the leather. There was a problem in that the heating was insufficient and therefore adhesion could not be achieved. Therefore, it was considered to use a base material coated with adhesive in dots instead of hot-melt adhesive, but since the adhesive is a rubber-like substance and is sticky to many substances, it may not penetrate through the front or back, for example. Attempts have been made to use a metal hollow cylinder with holes, put an adhesive inside it, and apply the adhesive to the external base material through the holes in the hollow cylinder, but the adhesive sticks to each other. Since then, it has not been put into practical use.

The present invention aims to provide a method of dot-applying an adhesive onto the surface of a base material, which has not been successful in the past. Using an endless belt with recesses corresponding to the dotted pattern and having a length sufficient to evaporate the adhesive solvent, the adhesive diluted with the solvent is inserted into the recesses at the forward end of the endless belt in the direction of movement. After filling the adhesive, the solvent in the adhesive is heated to evaporate and removed, and a base material such as paper or cloth is brought into contact with the endless belt at the rear end in the direction of movement of the endless belt to apply the adhesive to the base material. It is characterized by metastasis.

In the present invention, the non-adhesive substance used as a plate material means a material that does not have adhesive properties with an adhesive, and includes, for example, silicone rubber, fluororesin (Teflon), and high-density polyethylene. This non-adhesive material can be used by itself as an endless belt-like intaglio plate, but since it is uneconomical to form the entire intaglio plate from a non-adhesive material, it is advantageous to use it as a plate material. Alternatively, only the inner walls of the recesses of the intaglio may be made of a non-adhesive material. The intaglio plate used in the present invention is different from that used in normal gravure printing, in that a non-adhesive material is laminated as a plate material on the surface of an endless belt of a predetermined length or size, and predetermined points are placed on the plate material. A large number of recesses are provided depending on the shape or line shape.

To apply adhesive in dots or lines to the target substrate using these endless belt-like intaglio plates, the adhesive placed on the top of the rotating belt-like intaglio plate can be rubbed with a doctor knife or with a roller. After filling the concave parts of the plate with adhesive, use a doctor knife to scrape off the excess adhesive. Two doctor knives may be used.

Next, one embodiment of the present invention will be described based on the drawings. The figure is a schematic diagram for explaining a method of applying the adhesive of the present invention in a dotted manner. Place the adhesive 4 on top of an endless belt-like intaglio plate 1 that uses silicone rubber, a non-adhesive material, as a plate material and has many holes on its surface, and use a doctor knife 3 to remove the excess adhesive 4.
When pressed, the holes 2 of the belt-shaped intaglio plate 1 are filled with a predetermined amount of adhesive. Note that the belt-shaped intaglio plate is produced by roll 5,
It is rotated by 5'. At the same time, the base fabric 6 was transferred by a roll 7, and the base fabric 6 was brought into contact with the conveyor belt 1 filled with the adhesive 4, so that the adhesive 4 was transferred to the base fabric 6, and the adhesive was applied in dots. A base fabric 8 is obtained, and a separately prepared release paper 9 such as silicone paper is adhered to the surface of the adhesive and rolled up to obtain a product 10 of the present invention. In the figure, 11
A dryer is used to evaporate and dry the solvent before transferring the adhesive to the base fabric 6 when a solvent type adhesive is used as the adhesive 4.

As described above, according to the method of the present invention, it is possible to extremely easily produce a base material coated with an adhesive in dots, and since the base material is coated with an adhesive in dots, Also, when point-adhering to leather, cloth, etc., there is an advantage that heating is not required and the adhesive can be applied directly to parts with complex shapes.
