Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the parting property of a painted product and to make the washing of a masking part unnecessary, by arranging a masking material to a surface to be painted held to 40-80 deg.C at the required position thereof before performing painting. CONSTITUTION:The temp. of the surface to be painted of an iron plate is held to 40-80 deg.C and a masking material is arranged to the surface to be painted at the required position thereof to perform painting. As the masking material, single-surface adhesive paper, a film or a sheet used heretofroe can be used as it is. Further, a masking material having attraction action due to a magnetic material can be also used and one cut in a predetermined shape and having elasticity and flexibility is pref. The cutting of the masking material into the required shape is performed so that the cross-sectional shape of the cut part pref. has a trapezoid with the attracted part as a long side from a view point of improving painting finish.

Conventionally, in the painting method using masking material, the masking material made of paper or film with adhesive on one side is cut into the desired shape on the surface to be painted and applied, and the painting is done at room temperature. Since the masking material is thin and attached with an adhesive, the solvent of the paint will seep in between the masking material and the surface to be painted, reducing the ease of separation of the painted product (clarity of the boundary between the masking part and the painted part). However, depending on the solvent used in the paint, the adhesive may remain in the masking area, requiring cleaning.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a coating method that provides a coated article with good separation magnetism and eliminates the need to clean the masking area.

In the present invention, after placing the masking material at the required position on the surface to be painted,
In the painting method, the temperature of the surface to be painted is 40 to 80'
Since the coating method is characterized by keeping the paint at C, the solvent of the applied paint evaporates immediately, preventing the paint solvent from entering between the masking material and the surface to be painted. The present invention can be improved in magnetic properties and prevented from being contaminated by the masking material, and the present invention will be described in detail below.

As the masking material used in the present invention, conventionally used single-sided adhesive paper, films, sheets, etc. can be used as they are, and masking materials that have an adsorption effect such as magnetic materials can also be used. Although not limited to this, it is preferable that the masking material be made of an elastic and flexible magnetic material that has been cut into a desired shape, since this allows the masking material to be reused. The magnetic materials mentioned here include elastic and flexible synthetic resins such as silicone resin, acrylic resin, vinyl resin, polyurethane resin, polyethylene resin, and fluororesin, natural rubber, isoprene rubber, styrene rubber, butyl rubber, Butadiene rubber, ethylene propylene rubber, nitrile rubber, chloroprene rubber, Hypalon, urethane rubber, polysulfide rubber, silicone rubber, fluororubber,
A rubber such as acrylic rubber alone, a modified product, or a mixture containing a magnetic material such as a magnet, preferably with a thickness of 0.5~
3H sheet form is preferred because it is easy and convenient to handle. Cutting into the desired shape can be done by cutting with a cutter, cutting by punching, etc. The cutting method is not particularly limited, but the best paint finish is achieved if the cross-sectional shape of the cut part is trapezoidal with the long side being the suction part. This is a desirable thing.

The temperature of the surface to be coated must be 40-80°C. That is, if the temperature is less than 40"C, the evaporation of the paint solvent will be slow and the edge magnetism will not improve, and if it exceeds 80"C, the painted appearance of the paint will deteriorate in wavy appearance.

以下本発明を実施例にもとづいて説明する。The present invention will be explained below based on examples.

Example 1 After cleaning the surface of the iron plate, masking was carried out by adsorbing Chirei Magnet Co., Ltd. (product name: 11Es-7P) to a two-thickness elastic and flexible magnetic sheet cut into the desired shape at the desired position. After heating the iron plate to 40'C, apply inorganic paint (manufactured by Matsushita Electric Works Co., Ltd., product name CM21).

Example 2 The iron plate was replaced with a glass plate, and the heating temperature after masking was set to 70°C.
After spraying the same inorganic paint as in Example 1, the masking material was removed and baking was carried out at 160° C. to obtain a coated product.

Comparative Example After cleaning the surface of the iron plate, paper with a single-sided adhesive of 0.2 mm thick cut into the desired shape was pasted at the required position to use as a masking material, and then the same inorganic paint as in the example was applied while the temperature of the iron plate was still high. (1) After pre-drying at 60"C to make it tack-free, the masking material was removed and baking was carried out at 160"C to obtain a coated product.
