Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform a printing job along the rules printed previously by recognizing the rules in a designated print area and then setting a format based on those recognized rules.

CONSTITUTION: The picture information read by a picture information reading part 1 is displayed at a picture information display part 2. An area to be printed is designated on the part 2 via a print area designating part 3. The designated print area is stored in a print area memory part 4 and a rule recognizing part 5 recognizes the rules out of the picture information on the designated area. Based on the recognizing result of the part 5, a document setting part 6 sets the format information on the line number, the space between lies, etc., and stores this information into a format memory part 7. Then the character strings to be printed are inputted via a character input part 8 and a form is set at a print part 9. The character strings are printed in the print area stored in the part 4 based on the format stored in the part 7. Thus it is possible to perform a print job along the rules printed previously and also to print the character strings in a partial designated area.
