Conventionally, when the top board for furniture such as kitchen furniture, counters, tables, etc. is long,
When the upper plate has an orthogonal planar shape such as a letter shape or a square shape, it is common practice to join two upper plates in the planar direction and integrate them. If the upper plate member is made of a thick material such as a post-form material or a material laminated with artificial marble, it can be joined by forming tongues and tongue grooves that fit into each other on the joint end surface and using adhesive. Although it is possible to adopt a bonding structure in which the upper plate member is made of a thin material such as a metal plate, such a bonding structure is impossible.

This invention aims to provide a joining structure suitable for joining in the planar direction of the upper plate member made of such a thin material. A connecting plate is bent downward at right angles to form an integrally continuous connecting plate, and the connecting plate is fastened by a fastening means, and a shape that resembles the bent part is formed at the side end of the bent part continuous with the flat surface. The present invention is characterized in that a sealing receiving groove having a sealing receiving member is interposed therebetween, and a sealing receiving groove extending along the joint surface of the upper plate member is formed on the surface of the sealing receiving member.

Sealing holders 9 and 10 are interposed between the joint surfaces of the front stile portion 3 and the back guard portion 4. The sealing holders 9 and 10 are attached to the front stile portion 3 or the back guard portion 4.
It has a bent shape, and is inserted into the lower surface of the front stile portion 3 or the back guard portion 4 as shown in FIG. The sealing receivers 9 and 10 are synthetic resin products or die-cast products. At the center of the sealing receivers 9 and 10, there is a receiving groove 1 for receiving the sealant.
1 is formed along the joint surface of the upper plate member 1. At one end of the sealing holder 9, 10, the connecting plate 5 is attached.
A connecting plate 12 extending toward is integrally formed, and a bolt insertion hole 13 that is aligned with the bolt hole 6 of the connecting plate 5 is bored in the connecting plate 12 . The bolt insertion hole 13 is formed into a horizontally elongated hole, and allows slight movement of the sealing receivers 9 and 10 in the front and back direction.

When joining, the upper plate members 1 are butted together,
Insert the bolts and nuts 14 into the aligned bolt holes 6 and tighten them to fix them. Prior to butting together the upper plate member 1, the sealing holders 9 and 10 are attached to the front stile portion 3.
and is inserted into the joint end of the back guard part 4, and by tightening the bolts and nuts 14, the sealing receivers 9 and 10 are held between the upper plate members 1 and fastened to the connecting plate 5 via the joint plate 12. do. Thereafter, sealing is performed by filling the joint surfaces between the upper plate members 1 with a sealant, but in the front stile portion 3 and back guard portion 4, the filled sealant is received by the receiving groove 11 and downwards. It will not flow out.

As described above, according to the joint structure of the furniture top plate of this invention, a connection plate is formed which is bent downward at right angles to the flat surface side end of the top plate member made of a metal plate and is continuous. The connecting plate is fastened by a fastening means, and a sealing holder having a shape similar to the surface of the bending part is interposed at the side end of the bending part continuous with the flat surface, and an upper part is attached to the surface of the sealing holder. Since a sealing receiving groove is formed that extends along the joint surfaces of the plate members, the sealing agent filled into the joint surfaces of the joined upper plate members is received by the sealing receiver, making the sealing work easier. It is possible to perform simple and reliable sealing. Furthermore, since the sealing receiving groove is filled with the sealing agent, the adhesion of the sealing agent is improved and water leakage can be better prevented.
