Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve reliability and to lower a cost, by setting contact relation between a magnetic medium and a magnetic head at desired position relation by adjusting the deflection of an FPC (flexible printed circuit board). CONSTITUTION:The fixing structure of the FPC 5 on a carriage 3 is constituted of a projecting part 3a provided at a part of the carriage 3 and a through hole 5b provided at a part of the FPC 5, and also, the tip part 3b of the projecting part 3a is constituted larger than at least a part of the hole width of the through hole 5b. Therefore, it is possible to stabilize the FPC 5 and to arrange it surely and easily so as to set the contact between the magnetic head 1 and the magnetic medium 2 at the desired position relation. In such a way, a magnetic recorder with high performance, high reliability, and a low cost can be obtained.
