Exterior lights began to be installed on the doors and body of the vehicle. However, because these conventional side lighting lights protrude outside the vehicle body, the lens surface of the lighting lights is easily contaminated with dust and mud, there is a risk of damage from contact with external objects, and there is a risk of damage during work. There were drawbacks such as getting in the way when washing the car and requiring waterproofing measures to protect the electrical system. Further, there was the inconvenience of having to specially operate the light switch in order to illuminate the side of the vehicle when changing direction.

If the vehicle is equipped with one, it is equipped with a means to automatically turn on the lights when the vehicle turns right. As a means for this, the switching circuit of the vehicle exterior lighting is connected to the switching circuit of the turn signal via a switch that works with the vehicle lights, and when the steering shaft rotates by an angle θ in a predetermined direction of rotation, Some devices are configured to turn on the lights outside the vehicle in response. In addition, in this invention, no matter what kind of automatic lighting means is used, if a manual switch for the outside lighting is provided separately, it is possible to turn on the turn signal lights or turn the steering wheel to the right or left even when the vehicle is stopped. The outside of the vehicle can be illuminated without cutting.

FIG. 1 is a partial perspective view of a cab-over type truck having a vehicle door in which an exterior light is installed. FIG. 2 is an enlarged partial cross-sectional view of the vehicle door shown in FIG.
A see-through glass 4 is fitted through a weather strip 5, and a see-through window 3 is provided. An opening is formed in the door inner panel 6 that faces the door outer panel 2 and constitutes the door body 1, and the door trim panel 9 attached thereto faces facing the transparent window 3, and the periphery of the opening is bent toward the viewing window 3 and then extended, and among the opening edges, both side edges and the lower edge are bent along the viewing glass 4. The bent edge portion is inserted into a groove that is opened on the outer periphery of the weather strip 5 at a position closer to the inside of the vehicle than the fitting groove for the see-through glass 4 formed in the weather strip 5. It fits into both sides and lower edge portions of the opening formed in the door outer panel 2 in an overlapping state.

いる。 On the other hand, the inclined surface of the door inner panel 6 bent toward the upper edge of the transparent window 3 has a horizontal "<" shape in the middle.
The socket 8 of the outside illumination light 7 is attached to the raised surface 15 facing the outside of the vehicle so that the outside illumination light 7 faces diagonally downward outside the vehicle. The edge of the raised surface 15 is covered with transparent glass 4.
After being bent along the weather strip 5, the weather strip 5 is fitted into the fitting groove formed in the weather strip 5 so as to overlap the upper end edges of the openings of the door outer panel 2 and the door trim panel 9. Further, a hole 16 is provided on the upper slope of the opening of the door trim panel 9 so that the outside illumination light 7 can be attached to the socket 8 from the outside, and through which the luminous flux of the outside illumination light 7 can pass.

FIG. 3 is a switching circuit diagram in which the vehicle exterior illumination light 7 is also automatically turned on by operating the direction indicator switch 11. When the vehicle is running in the daytime, a switch 12 that is linked to the vehicle light switch is activated.
is off, so turn signal switch 1
1 is turned on when turning left, the direction indicator light 13 lights up, but the vehicle exterior lighting light 7 does not light up. When the vehicle is running at night, the switch 12 that is linked to the vehicle sweep light switch is turned on, so when turning on the turn signal switch 11 when turning left, the direction signal light 1 turns on.
At the same time as 3, the vehicle exterior light 7 is also turned on.

This provides various effects such as preventing damage due to overheating. Also, if you set the lights on automatically, you don't have to turn them on every time the vehicle changes direction, which is convenient, and if you switch to a manual switch, you can leave only the outside lights on while the vehicle is stopped. It has the effect of being able to
