Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a wedge effect due to a document inserting force and prevent a contacting part from separating from a paper feed roller by pressing the contacting part of a separating part against the paper feed roller with a pressing means. CONSTITUTION:When documents 11 are strongly inserted or when a larger number of sheets of documents 11 are inserted at a time, the contacting part 21a of a separating part 21 is kept in contact with a paper feed roller 1, whereas, its fulcrum side 21b is bent nearly in an L-shape. As a result, the opening angle theta between the documents 11 and the separating part 21 becomes larger to reduce a wedge effect due to a document inserting force preventing the paper feed roller 1 separating from the contacting part 21a of the separating part 21. Thereby, even when documents 11 are strongly inserted or when a larger number of sheets of documents 11 are inserted at a time, the separating function of the documents 11 is not deteriorated, enabling the documents to be securely fed one sheet at a time from the document 11 on the topmost site in order.

Next, the operation will be explained. In this type of automatic paper feeder, the friction coefficient μ2 between the separation piece 2 and the document 11 is smaller than the friction coefficient μm between the paper feed roller 1 and the document 11, and the friction coefficient μm between the document 11 is smaller than μ2. The friction coefficient μ3 is set smaller.

Since the conventional automatic paper feeder is configured as described above, the entire separation piece 2 is a rigid body and rotates around the fulcrum 2a, so that it can feed a large number of sheets as shown in FIG. If the document 11 is inserted strongly, the paper feed roller 1 of the separation unit 21 is likely to be subjected to a wedge effect due to the insertion force of the document 11.
This invention was made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and even when the original is inserted strongly,
To provide an automatic paper feeder capable of stacking more originals at the same time without degrading the original separating function.

[Means for Solving the Problems] The automatic paper feeder according to the present invention constitutes a part of one separation piece, and the separation part formed of an elastic body connects the contact part with the paper feed roller and the fulcrum side. The sheet is supported by a supporting portion so that it can be bent in a bent shape between the sheets, and the contact portion of the separated portion is pressed against a paper feed roller by a pressing means.

In the automatic paper feeder according to the present invention, when a document is strongly inserted, the contact part of the separating part remains in contact with the paper feed roller, and the part between the contact part of the separating part and the fulcrum side is bent. Since it is bent in a shape, the wedge effect caused by the document insertion force is reduced and the contact portion is prevented from opening against the paper feed roller.

The paper feed roller 1 is made of an elastic material such as sponge rubber in order to obtain a large coefficient of friction with the original 11. In the separation piece 2, the separation part 21 is formed of an elastic body such as solid rubber, and the back surface of the separation part 2 is further reinforced with support parts 22a and 22b formed of a rigid body such as a metal plate. The support portions 22a and 22b are divided into two at an intermediate portion between a contact portion side 22a of the separation piece 2 with respect to the paper feed roller 1 and a fulcrum 2a side 22b of the separation piece 2. Thereby, the separation part 21 is supported so as to be bent in a bent shape, for example, in a substantially dogleg shape, between the contact part 21a with respect to the paper feed roller 1 and the fulcrum side 21b. The contact portion 21a of the separation portion 21 is pressed against the paper feed roller 1 in the direction indicated by the arrow by the coil spring 5, which is a pressing means, via the support 22a.

Next, the operation will be explained. Original 11 is inserted firmly,
Alternatively, when a larger number of originals 11 are inserted at the same time, the contact portion 21a of the one-separation portion 21 remains in contact with the paper feed roller 1, and the fulcrum side 21b is almost completely inserted, as shown in FIG. Bent in a dogleg shape.

As described above, according to the automatic paper feeder of the present invention, the document 1
1 is inserted strongly or a larger number of originals 11 are inserted simultaneously, the separation function of the originals 11 does not deteriorate,
It is possible to reliably feed one document at a time starting from the highest document 11.

In the above embodiment, a rigid body such as a metal plate was divided into two parts as the support part 22 of the separation piece 2 and formed into a bendable shape.
As shown in Fig. 4, the support part 22' is formed of a single thin leaf spring, and a hole 221 extending in the width direction is provided in the middle of the longitudinal direction, and the concentration is concentrated at the part of this hole 221. A similar effect can be obtained by making it bendable. Further, a hole 222 is provided at the other end of the leaf spring, and the plate spring is fixed to the main body 25 with a screw 26, thereby simplifying the fulcrum structure.

As described above, according to the present invention, the separation part of the separation piece is configured to be bendable between the contact part with respect to the paper feed roller and the fulcrum side, so that strong original insertion force or even more Even when many originals are inserted at the same time, a sufficient separation function is always exhibited, and the effect is that the originals can always be fed one by one starting from the topmost original. Furthermore, the support portion may have a very simple structure such as the two-part structure shown in the embodiment or a plate spring with a hole.
