[Detailed Description of the Invention] The present invention relates to an improvement in a mold for manufacturing foam molded products such as cushions for vehicles. Conventionally, as a mold for producing foam molded products such as vehicle cushions, for example, as shown in FIG. 1, base bodies 3 of an upper mold 1 and a lower mold 2 are made of epoxy resin or the like to a thickness of about several millimeters. However, a structure in which the outer reinforcing layer 4 is made of epoxy resin mixed with glass fiber or polyester resin is used. Such a molding die 5 is generally manufactured as follows. First, a mold release agent is applied to the surface of a master model made of hard plastic or the like that has approximately the same shape as the foam molded product. Next, determine the parting line that separates the upper mold 1 and lower mold 2, and apply epoxy resin to a thickness of about several millimeters on the surface corresponding to the upper mold part and the surface corresponding to the lower mold part of the master model. This is then cured to form a portion that will become the base body 3 of the molding die 5 . Next, epoxy resin mixed with glass fibers or polyester resin is applied to the surface of this cured epoxy resin until the desired thickness is reached, and this is cured to form a reinforcing layer 4, which can be used for molding. Obtain type 5 . In the molding die 5 obtained in this way, the resin takes a long time to harden during manufacturing (usually about 12 to 24 hours), and the internal master model covered with the resin is deformed due to the heat generated as the resin hardens. Since it is easy to form, the shape accuracy becomes extremely poor, resulting in the disadvantage that it is impossible to manufacture a foam molded product with high shape precision. The present invention, as a result of various studies conducted in view of the above points, provides a molding die that can easily produce foam molded products with high shape accuracy. Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 2 shows a sectional view of an embodiment of a mold to which the present invention is applied. This mold 10 consists of an upper mold 11 and a lower mold 12.
The lower mold 12 is composed of a base body 13 having a shape substantially equal to the outer shape of the foam molded product to be manufactured, and a reinforcing layer 14 formed on the outside of the base body 13. The reinforcing layer 14 is made of a non-foaming resin that takes a short time to harden. As this non-foaming resin, any resin may be used as long as it takes a short time to cure, such as non-foaming urethane which takes about 30 minutes to cure. The thickness of the reinforcing layer 14 is desirably set appropriately depending on the shape of the foam molded product manufactured using the mold 10 , and is usually preferably set within a range of 5 to 30 mm. The base body 13 has a layer thickness of several millimeters and is made of non-foamed urethane, polyester, epoxy resin, or the like. As the resin for forming this base body 13, the above-mentioned non-foaming urethane or the like can be used, but it is preferable to use a non-foaming resin that takes a short curing time, as in the case of the above-mentioned reinforcing layer 14. Of course, an iron angle or the like may be used as a reinforcing material around the mold. As described above, in this molding die 10 , the reinforcing layer 14 is formed of a non-foaming resin that takes a short curing time, so the amount of heat generated as the resin hardens during manufacturing is reduced, and the master model is heated. It is formed with extremely high shape accuracy to prevent deformation caused by. As a result, with this mold 10 , a foam molded product with high shape accuracy can be easily manufactured. As explained above, the mold according to the present invention has high shape accuracy because the reinforcing layer is formed of a non-foaming resin with a short curing time, and it is easy to make foam molded products with high shape precision. It has a remarkable effect that can be formed.
