Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an edge-type thermal head by which complicated high- density data and data-recording speed can be selected and varied, by connecting a plurality of edge-type thermal heads. CONSTITUTION:Edge-type thermal heads 1 and 2 are fixed in the form of having respective head common parts adhered to each other, and have respective heat generating elements 3, 4. By using a plurality of edge-type thermal heads in this manner, a higher printing speed can be contrived. Namely, in comparison under the same printing conditions, the printing speed can be enhanced to 1-2 times that of a single-edge-type head. Therefore, data recording and data- recording speed can be selected.

ゴムローラ6及び軸Tに回転力を与えるモータ、9は全
体を保持するフレーム、1oは記録紙である。

実施例 第1図は本発明の一実施例による複数のエツジ型サーマ

は各ヘッドの発熱素子である。この様に、複数のエツジ
型サーマルヘッドを使用する事に依シ印字スピードアッ
プを図ることが出来る。すなわち、単一エツジ型ヘッド
と同一印字条件であれば、印字スピードは単一ヘッドの
1〜2倍の印字スピードアンプが可能である。

複数のサーマルヘッドをスライドさせる事によシ、倍密
文字9強調文字、縦倍角文字等、複雑な情報記録を容易
にしかも高速に記録させる事を目的としたサーマルヘッ
ドである。

ータで、12は複数ヘッドをスライド可変させる為のス
テータである。本実施例では圧電素子の場合、微細なス
ライド可変が可能である。  ゛    ′発明の効果 以上、本発明によれば情報記録及び情報記録スピードを
選択可能にすることが出来る。
