Conventionally, as shown in the side views of FIGS. 3 and 4, on both sides of the seat back A of the seat S,
The armrest main body 1' is arranged in a state that it protrudes beyond the entire width of the seat back A. Here, if the seat back A is tilted backwards, or if the same seat back A is tilted forward, the set angle of the armrest main body 1' with respect to the seat back A should be manually corrected so that the seating surface of the seat cushion B is approximately the same as the seat back A. I want to align them in the same direction, but this seat bag A
The rotation operation of the armrest is performed twice by moving the armrest main body 1' up and down and operating the release lever 9 twice, which is not convenient for use as a reclining seat.

Furthermore, the movable armrest structure of another seat with an armrest is attached to the side of the seat back A, and when the armrest is stored, it can be lifted above the seat back A, and when in use, it can be folded forward. They are the same in some respects.
However, the problem with this conventional product is that the angular position of the armrest is always constant when in use, especially in the case of a seat whose seat back reclines in multiple stages. As explained above, as the reclining seat back tilts, the armrest also moves upward to the front with respect to the seat cushion B, so the angle of the armrest is
For the seated person, the seat is tilted upwards, and the direction of the arms and body position do not match.

The purpose of this invention was to solve the above-mentioned conventional problems.In order to eliminate the drawbacks of the conventional method, when the movable armrest starts to rotate, the user can grasp the front end of the armrest and operate it by incorporating it into the lower surface of the front end. To provide, at low cost, a simple and robust engagement/disengagement device which allows the release of an armrest connecting rod with a single touch by hooking one's finger on a handle, and allows the angle of the armrest to be adjusted steplessly within a certain practical angle range. There is a particular thing.

That is, in the seat with a movable armrest of this invention, a support shaft is installed in one side plate of the seat back frame which can be raised and lowered, and extends horizontally to protrude from the seat, and has a screw hole at its tip;
The support shaft is fitted into a support piece implanted at a suitable location on the outer circumference of the support shaft and a pivot hole drilled in the rear end side wall to make it rotatable, and an opening is bored in the lower surface of the tapered front end. an armrest frame with a locking piece cut and raised in the middle of the side wall; a connecting rod that engages with the locking piece and has a base end abutting the support piece and a free end extending toward the front end of the arm; and a connecting rod base end. a large-diameter coil spring which is interposed in the connecting rod and has one end abutting the locking piece and the other end abutting the collar of the connecting rod to urge the connecting rod toward the proximal end; and a large diameter coil spring fixed to the free end side of the connecting rod. A pair of flanges for restricting movement, an upright piece having a hook shape as a whole, a through-hole being bored at a proper place, an operating piece facing through the opening, an operating handle member pivoted near the opening, and the front end of the armrest frame. A simple system comprising a coil spring disposed inside to bias the operating piece downward, the free end of the connecting rod being inserted into a through-hole in the upright piece, and engaging and disengaging from the sharp periphery of the through-hole. It has a built-in stepless adjustment type. Then, the outer periphery of the armrest frame having such a structure inside is wrapped with a pad, and an armrest cover etc. is covered.
The desired movable armrest is completed.

The movable armrest on one side of the seat back configured as described above can be operated by a person sitting on the seat, while grasping the front end of the armrest with one hand, hooking one's finger onto the operating handle built into the lower surface of the front end, and pressing the armrest with the tip of the finger. Then, the free end of the connecting rod in the armrest frame moves away from the alternating edges of the sharp edges of the through holes in the appropriate positions of the upright piece that is the same as the operating handle, that is, the pressing surface of the operating piece on the lower surface of the front end of the armrest. When pushed into the inside of the arm, the free end of the connecting rod becomes free in the through-hole, and it hits the support piece at the appropriate location of the support shaft against the coil spring on the proximal end of the connecting rod. The parts that were touching and restricting rotation have come off, and while holding these tips, you can rotate the armrest body in any direction, upward or downward. After that, when you release your grip at the desired seat angle, the elastic force of the interposed coil spring on the base side of the connecting rod and the repulsive force of the coil spring pressing inside the operation piece, This operation piece is restored to the state in which it faces the opening. During this restoration, the free ends of the connecting rods are inserted into the appropriate through holes of the upright pieces, and are engaged with and disengaged from the upper and lower edges of the sharp edges of the through holes, so that the movable armrest of this invention can be moved as desired. Rotation can be stopped at an angle of

A large-diameter coil spring that is a main component of the armrest of this invention and is used as a return force after each operation of the combination of a connecting rod 8 and an operating handle member 2 that operates and engages and disengages the connecting rod 8. 90 and a pressing coil spring 4 on the handle side. The large-diameter coil spring 90 interposed in the connecting rod 8 is set to have a weaker repulsive force than the pressing coil spring 4 on the handle side, due only to the return force of the connecting rod 8. On the other hand, the coil spring 4 is connected to the connecting rod 8
By setting the intervening large diameter coil spring 90 to be stronger, even if the armrest 1 of the seat S is rotated upward and lifted, the upright piece 23 of the operating handle member 2 will not connect to the connecting rod 8. A strong repulsion force is applied in the direction perpendicular to , which is strong enough to prevent it from tilting due to its own weight. That is, even if the armrest is lifted upward, the operating handle member 2 is pressed by the coil spring 4 so that it does not return automatically. Next, from the state where the armrest 1 is set at a certain angle, lift it toward the seatback A side for storage, hold the raised position, and then lower the armrest 1 horizontally again and apply an impact. The strength of the coil spring 4 is selected to be sufficient to maintain the previously set angle and height position.

Since this device is constructed as described above, when the movable armrest starts rotating, the armrest connecting rod can be engaged and disengaged with a single touch by grasping the front end of the armrest and hooking the finger on the operating piece built into the lower surface of the front end. In particular, the relationship between the outer diameter of the free end of the connecting rod and the hole diameter of the through hole of the upright piece in the handle is such that the hole diameter is larger than the outer diameter of the free end of the connecting rod. , a slightly larger hole is drilled, and the sharp peripheral edge bites into the free ends of the upper and lower edges due to the inclination of the hole in this upright piece, and the resulting friction force is utilized, making engagement and disengagement quite simple. It is a device.

Furthermore, with the seat according to this invention, even if the seat back is reclined at any angle, the movable armrest can always be set at the optimal angle position. Even if you lift it upwards to get on or off, it can be restored to its original angular position. Therefore, it is not necessary to restore the angular position each time as in the conventional ratchet meshing method or cam return method. Furthermore, the operations at the front end of the armrest and their operations can be controlled by the angle using the aforementioned operating piece, but fine adjustment of the angle can be made by lifting up the operating piece and setting the armrest at the optimal position. When you release your finger from the operating piece, the upright piece tilts due to the repulsive force of the coil spring, the sharp peripheral edge bites into the connecting rod, and it is set and stopped at that position. In addition, the above adjustment range is determined by the range of contact between the support piece and the base end in this embodiment, but first, it is set so that it can be adjusted only within the range of normal use of the armrest, so this armrest can be adjusted upward. From the state of lifting the armrest to the initial contact between the support piece and the base end, there is nothing to restrict rotation around the support shaft, so do not use the operating piece on the bottom of the front end of the armrest. , it has the advantage of being able to restore the initially set angular position without any unnecessary operations.
