Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct unbalance of floating amt. due to a yaw angle and to equalize floating amts. of both side rails by making a rail width on the side of narrower spacing wide than the other one. CONSTITUTION:A slider 1 is fitted with a load arm 2, and this slider 1 is formed with a rail A3 and the other rail B4 for floating so as to float on a disk with a load of 2g by the load arm 2. The rear end of the rail A3 is formed of a recording/reproducing element 5 by lithography technology, while the load arm 2 is fitted to a guide arm coupled with a head actuator. At that time, the slider is fitted with a yaw angle, e.g., 12 deg. against a track center line 6, and the width of the rail 3 is formed as, e.g., 0.26mm and the width of the rail 4, e.g., 0.30mm. By this method, the floating amt. can be kept to 0.2mum on both of the rail A3 and the rail A4 at their rear ends.
