A transmission unit decodes the optical signal transmitted by the transmission unit, and if it is determined that the signal has a specific pattern, the lock opening/closing mechanism is set to I;;l I!
The lock has a signal determination section that allows the J1!11 operation to be performed.

When the light emitting switch 2 is pressed, this signal generating circuit is activated and the signal light emitting LED 3 is activated. emits modulated light. Lock unit 4 is a key unit! A light receiving unit 5 that receives the modulated light from the light emitting LED 3 of ~1, a transmission unit 6 that transmits the modulated light received by the light receiving unit 5, a lock operating motor 8, and an alarm 9.
Then, the optical signal transmitted by the transmission unit 6 is converted into an electrical signal, and this signal is judged. If it is the specific pattern, the lock movement motor 8 is driven, and it receives normal illumination light, etc. When it receives light that does not correspond to any of the above, it does not output anything, and when it receives light that does not correspond to any of the above, it activates the alarm 9.

This light is received by the light receiving unit 5 and transmitted to the signal determining section 7 via the transmission unit 6. The signal determination unit 7 converts the transmitted light into an electrical signal, decodes this electrical signal, and makes a determination. If it is determined that the received light has a specific pattern, the lock operating motor 8 is driven to open and close the lock. Each operation of opening and closing the lock is performed alternately by pressing the light emitting switch 2. When the received light does not correspond to a specific pattern of modulated light or normal illumination light, the alarm 9 is activated and notifies the person concerned that suspicious light has been received.

Accordingly, the key unit 1 may be used as a dedicated key for opening a lock. Alternatively, two light emitting switches 2 and two light modulation patterns each may be provided on the key unit 1 and used for opening and closing.
