Abstract

PURPOSE:To freely select the change of the wt. point of a receiving plate and to markedly enhance bedsore preventing effect, by providing a bidirectional shape memory metal allowing the leg of a movable body to reciprocally move in a guide cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A helical spring like bidirectional shape memory metal 9 is received in each guide cylinder 7 and the upper end thereof is engaged with the recessed part 6 of the leg 4 of a movable body 1 and the lower end thereof is fixed to the bottom of the guide cylinder 7. The movable body 1 is allowed to rise and fall by regulating the magnitude and current supply/stop timing of the current supplied to the memory metal 9 and the amplitude, wavelength, speed and the steepness degree of wave form of the approximate transversal wave drawn by the receiving plate of the movable body 1 are freely changed and the wt. point state of the receiving plate 2 is changed in the same way. By this change, the bedsore of the person, who lies down on the mat or sleeping mat 22 laid on the upper surface of the receiving plate 2 having a mushroom- shaped cross-section, is effectively prevented.

The main cause of bedsores is that the same part of the body is under pressure from one's own body weight for a long time, leading to insufficient blood circulation in the area and the skin in that area becoming tight. There are many things. Therefore, in order to prevent bedsores in bedridden elderly people, etc., it is necessary to keep the skin properly dry and to occasionally change the body position by turning the person over in bed.

Normally, the above-mentioned tasks are carried out manually by nurses, but recently a bedsore prevention device using an air mattress has been devised. As shown in Figure 1O and Figure 11, the mat, which is a bag divided into several parts, alternately expands and contracts with air, changing the place where the weight is applied, and the air between each air mat. It blows air out of a nozzle to dry the skin appropriately.

There are devices that use air mattresses, such as those mentioned above, to save nurses' time and effort, but they only change the parts of the body that bear the weight (hereinafter referred to as emphasis) alternately over time. Of course, it is true that it is more effective to alternately change the weight than to support the weight at the same point, but the most desirable thing is to support each wave crest or point of a transverse wave with an appropriate wavelength and amplitude that occurs and advances continuously. This is optimal if the state is such that it corresponds to one after another. It is also necessary to be able to dry the skin appropriately. In addition, the air mat method requires an air pump, a solenoid valve, an air nozzle, an air pressure adjustment mechanism, etc. Since it uses air, the device must be airtight, requiring maintenance and being quite expensive.

In response to the above, the emphasis is shifted like the crest of a pseudo transverse wave,
Even if air is used, there is no need for special airtightness, and the aim is to easily control the wave crest propagation speed, amplitude (IJ (width of vertical displacement), wavelength (distance between points), etc.

If the bed floor is partially moved up and down, or approximately like a transverse wave, the crests, or apexes, of each wave can be considered to be opposite to the point across the mat. The state in which the apex moves while partially vertically displacing is considered to be a transverse wave.To adjust the amplitude, wavelength, speed, etc. of the current, it is much easier to use a memory metal that generates heat and deforms through electric current than to use air. It is clear that

An appropriate number of movable bodies are arranged in a portion corresponding to the bed floor. The movable body is composed of a receiving plate and a reinforcing arm leg, and the leg portion is supported by a memory metal attached in a hollow cylindrical guide tube having a bottom. By passing an electric current through the memory metal to raise its temperature and deform it, the movable legs are pushed up. The current is turned off and the memory metal is cooled with air, allowing it to return to its original shape. That is, the movable body is supported by the guide tube and the memory metal therein, and is also caused to move up and down. The vertical movement of each of the arranged movable bodies is made to approximate the progress of the crest of a transverse wave.

A device is installed to control the current to the memory metal in order to make the movable body move as described above. Most of the memory metals are made of high electrical resistance, so they generate heat and deform just by passing an electric current through them. . Since the deformation time in this device is extremely slow, it can be used even at low voltages, and the set temperature can be set from room temperature to around 30"C. Also, the memory metal can be coated with a heat-resistant and electrically insulating material. If the movable body legs and guide tube are both made of an electrically insulating material or coated with the same, there will be no danger to humans.
