Abstract

PURPOSE:To safely and inexpensively prevent precipitation in ferrous aq. soln. and to stabilize by adding tartaric acid or citric acid at a specific ratio to the iron (II). CONSTITUTION:A 20-100wt.%, more preferably 40-60wt.%, tartaric acid or citric acid of the iron (II) is added in the ferrous aq. soln. being an aq. soln. of ferrous sulfate, ferrous chloride, etc. Hence, the shelf life of the ferrous aq. soln. can be prolonged as long as two or three times. Consequently, when a ferrous aq. soln. is employed as a deodorant, the tartaric acid and citric acid can be used without exerting any influence to the deodorizing performance of the ferrous ion.

BACKGROUND ART AND PROBLEMS Divalent iron ion aqueous solutions such as ferrous sulfate aqueous solutions have a variety of uses, and are especially useful as deodorants because they have excellent deodorizing effects. However, this iron (II) ion aqueous solution is easily oxidized and precipitated, and has poor storage stability, so its uses are limited.

For this reason, methods of adding a tin compound, adding L-ascorbic acid, etc. have been devised as means for preventing precipitation (see Japanese Patent Publication No. 58-156539).

However, the former method is toxic and the latter method is expensive.

そこで本発明は無害で、安価な沈澱防止手段を得ること
を目的として案出されたものである。
Therefore, the present invention was devised for the purpose of providing a harmless and inexpensive means for preventing precipitation.

What effect does tartaric acid or citric acid have on iron(II)?
Although it is unclear whether ion stabilization is possible, experiments have shown that tartaric acid or citric acid in the above ratio has a good stabilizing effect. An excellent stabilizing effect can be obtained when the amount is 40 to 60 fi.
