Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an external force from being applied to a temperature fuse when a thermo-knob is operated and prevent a defect of the temperature fuse by insulatingly fixing one end of the temperature fuse, the other end of which is fixed to an operation contact plate, to the operation contact plate. CONSTITUTION:When the preset temperature is to be changed, a knob is rotated, an operating bar 21 is moved up and down, and an operation contact plate 17 is vertically moved. One end of a temperature fuse 13 is directly fixed to the operation contact plate 17, and the other end is insulatingly fixed to the operation contact plate 17 via intermediate terminal insulators 24, 25. The bending stress is not applied to the sealing port of the temperature fuse 13 even if the operation contact plate 17 is vertically moved, thus causing no defect. The deflection generated when the operation contact plate 17 is vertically moved is absorbed by a terminal plate 22 which is a flexible conductor.

2. Description of the Related Art Generally, in electrical equipment, a thermostat having a bimetal as an operating element is used as a means for adjusting the temperature thereof. However, since the thermostat is mechanical, malfunctions such as malfunction or seizure of contacts may occur, and there is a risk that the device may burn out due to excessive temperature rise. A temperature fuse is used as a means for preventing an excessive rise in temperature, and when the temperature rises excessively, the temperature fuse blows out, for example, cutting off the heater circuit to ensure safety.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention By the way, the thermo stand 4 is configured to change the set temperature by rotating the thermo knob 7 and moving the operating rod 6 up and down. However, as the operating rod 6 moves up and down and the thermostat 4 also moves up and down, the sealing part 5' of the temperature fuse 5 fixed between a part of the thermostat 4 and the terminal block 4' fixed to the pace 1 Bending stress is applied. When stress is applied to the sealing portion 5' of the temperature fuse 6, cracks occur in this portion, causing problems such as the temperature fuse not operating normally.

A fixed contact plate 16 made of stainless steel or the like having one contact 15, and an operation contact plate 17 made of stainless steel or the like combined with bimetal 14.One fixed contact plate 16 is made of ceramic. It is attached to a mounting base 18 made of an insulating material such as. The operation contact plate 17 is provided with an integrally extending operation portion 19, and an insulator 2o is fixed to the tip of the long side portion 19a. Reference numeral 21 denotes an actuating rod with one end fitted into the insulator 2o, and a manual operating means such as a knob (not shown) is attached to the other end of the actuating rod 21. Rotation of this knob causes the actuating rod to move. The operating section 19 is configured to be moved up and down via the handle 21. The temperature fuse 13 is of a type in which a temperature sensing element made of a crystalline organic compound or an easily fusible metal is sealed inside the tube, and when the temperature rises, the temperature sensing element melts and opens a current-carrying circuit. One end of the temperature fuse 13 is located below the long side 19a of the operating section 19 of the operation contact plate 17, close to the insulator 20, and located near the long side 19a.
It is attached along the longitudinal direction. The other end of this temperature fuse 13 is fixed to a terminal plate 22 attached to the mounting base 18, and is insulated to a terminal plate 23, which is a part of the operation contact plate 17, via an intermediate terminal insulator A24 and an insulator B25. It is fixed and forms a circuit.
