ルの断面の厚さには寸法的に制約があり、形状の面での
改善は困難である。そこで材料に着目してみると、従来
のカセットのシェルのように単一の材料より成るもので
は、カセットに要求される全ての性能を満たす事は極め

カセットの緒特性に影響を与えるシェルの構造を改善し
て、音質の改善を計るものである、
〔作用〕
本発明によれば、各層を構成する材料の物理特性が磁気
テープカセットに要求される低振動性、走行性、耐久性
等の諸性能を満足する。即ち、内N2を低共振鋭度の防
振材料で構成することにより磁気テープカセットの外部
からの振動、例えばモーター振動や内蔵スピーカーの振
動等により伝達される不所望の振動が低共振鋭度の防振
材料により吸収され、その外N1に設けた高剛性の材料
により機械的な強度が得られ、又更に最内層3に配置さ
れた低摩擦材料によりテープの走行性が改善され、最外
層4に配置された耐摩耗性の材料により耐久性が向上さ
