。[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Summary] In a connector in which a plurality of contacts are embedded in an insulator, the insulator is placed in a first contact. The configuration is such that the second insulator is divided into two insulators, a separately prepared contact is fitted to the first insulator, and then the second insulator is formed so as to engage with the first insulator. The productivity of the connector is improved by allowing the contact to be removed and then plated, and by making it possible to fit the contact into the first insulator regardless of the molding device.

a process of inserting the insulator 3 into the mold, a process of injecting molten resin into the matched mold, a process of solidifying the injected resin and taking out the insulator 3, a process of contact 2 protruding from the insulator 3.
The process of plating the protruding parts of the insulator 3 with Au or the like takes about 10 minutes, which involves inserting the contact 2 and heating and cooling the mold. In order to prevent the plating layer from being damaged in the molding process, it was necessary to perform this after the formation of the insulator 3.

, 23c, 24c and the inclined step end surfaces 34, 35.36, and the pressure of the molten resin acts to press the step end surfaces of the lead parts 22c, 23c, 24c against the step end surfaces of the recesses 32. This prevents the resin from flowing out of the recess 32, thereby eliminating the "burr" that occurs when the resin necessary for the secondary mold flows out from around the contact fitting portions 22b, 23b, and 24b.

It is a configuration that forms a. Therefore, since the time required to form the second insulator is about 30 seconds, the contact plating process can be performed prior to mating with the first insulator, and can be performed independently of the molding equipment. A contact can be fitted to the first insulator.
