Abstract

PURPOSE:To always accurately support a feed roller without coming-off from the pivotal support part of a paper pan, by interposing a bearing member between the pivotal support part of the paper pan and the shaft of the feed roller to make the same engageable at least with the pivotal support part. CONSTITUTION:A notch groove 13 is formed to the pivotal support parts 11, which are integrally molded along with a paper pan 12 and pivotally support the shaft 4 of respective feed rollers 3, on the side of the guide surface 2C of the paper pan 12 and the shaft ends of the the feed rollers shaft 4 fall in the pivotal support parts 11. The bearing members 14 can be fitted to the pivotal shaft parts 11 and the shaft ends of the feed roller shaft 4 are inserted in the bearing members 14 to be capable of being brought to a pivotally supported state. Grooves 4A are provided to the peripheries of the shaft end parts of the feed roller shaft 4 and projection parts 14A are also provided to the inner peripheries of the bearing members 14 corresponding to the grooves 4A. Both of the grooves and the projection parts are fitted under pressure so as to prevent the shaft from being pulled out from the bearing members 14 in usual. Further, the outer diameter of each of the bearing member 14 is sufficiently larger than the groove width (f) of each notch groove 13 and the bearing member 14 does not spring out from the notch grooves 13.

(Prior art) In recent years, various parts used in typewriters and the like have been replaced by molded products that are inexpensive and suitable for mass production, and paper pans installed to guide printing paper along the platen are no exception. Molded products are increasingly being used. Incidentally, there is a known sheet feeding device in which a feed roller, which is provided at a position related to a paper pan and which contacts and cooperates with a platen for sheet feeding, is directly supported by the paper pan. The feeding device has the advantage that by bringing the feed roller into contact with the platen, the guide gap between the paper pan and the platen can be maintained with high precision.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) However, in the sheet feeding device as described above, if the paper pan becomes dirty due to long-term use or if a jam occurs in the sheet around the feed roller, the paper It is necessary to clean the pan by pulling it away from the platen using a feed lever, or to remove jammed sheets. Therefore, when the paper pan is separated from the platen, the feed roller easily comes off from the shaft support of the paper pan, so there is a risk of forgetting it.
Further, if the shaft end of the feed roller shaft is not correctly supported by the shaft support during assembly, proper sheet feeding operation will not be performed.

1 to 3 show an embodiment of the present invention. In these figures, reference numeral 11 denotes a shaft support that is integrally molded with the paper pan 12 and supports the feed roller shaft 4, respectively.
The shaft support 11 has cutout grooves 13 formed on its guide surface 2C side, and the shaft ends of the feed roller shafts 4 can be respectively dropped into the shaft support 11 through these notch grooves 13. 14 is a bearing member that can be fitted to the shaft support 11 from the outside of the vapor pan 12;
It can be fitted into the shaft support 11 from the direction shown by arrow C in the figure, and when it is fitted, the feed roller shaft 4
By inserting the shaft end portion of the shaft into the bearing member 14, the shaft end can be placed in a pivotally supported state.

That is, as shown in FIG. 2B, the shaft end of the feed roller shaft 4 is provided with a groove 4A around its periphery, and the bearing member 14 is also provided with a protrusion 14A corresponding to the groove 4A. Therefore, by press-fitting both of them, the bearing member 14 and the end of the feed roller shaft will not come out during normal use. Further, since the outer diameter of the bearing member 14 is sufficiently larger than the groove width f of the notch groove 13, the bearing member 14 does not protrude from the notch groove 13.

In addition, when removing the feed roller shaft 4, pry the engaged portion to separate the shaft support 11 from the bearing member 15.
Just pull it outward. Note that the bearing members 14 and 15 described in the above examples may be formed as molded products, and there is no need to use particularly expensive materials.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, according to the present invention, a bearing member is interposed between the shaft support of the paper pan and the feed roller shaft, and this bearing member is inserted between the shaft support and the feed roller shaft. At least we made it possible to lock it to the shaft support, so
Even when removing the paper pan from the platen for post-processing or cleaning in the event of a jam, the feed roller will not come off the shaft support of the paper pan, and the shaft support will always remain accurate. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a highly reliable sheet feeding device with an inexpensive configuration and support. Furthermore, it is possible to integrally configure the above-mentioned shaft support with the paper pan, and there is no need to use a particularly expensive material for bearings as the material for the vapor pan body, and it can be formed from an inexpensive molding material. can.
