In a conventional pop-up type headlamp, the headlamp 04 and the cover 01, which have a considerable mass, rotate together as shown in Fig. 1.
If the speed is increased, the acceleration will be large at the end of the movement, and if an attempt is made to reduce the impact noise, the deceleration of the operation will be slow, making it unsuitable for passing.

Figure 2 shows a headlamp cover installed on a car. When the lamp is not in use, the headlamp cover 1 shown in the figure covers the front surface of the lamp with the outer surface of the lamp cover forming the same surface as the outer panel of the body.
When the lamp is lit, the headlamp cover 1 rotates about the rotation shaft 2 and is housed under the hood 3, as shown in FIG. 3, so that the front surface of the lamp 4 is exposed. The lamp cover 1 and the rotating shaft 2 are driven by a motor 5 via a connecting rod 6 and a universal joint 7. The rotation angle is determined by a limit switch in a gear 8 attached to the motor 5 or a limit switch disposed elsewhere to determine the opening/closing range of the lamp cover 1. The opening/closing movement of the cover 1 is fast at the beginning, and just before the cover 1 is fully opened or closed, the movement is slowed down by a damper, and the cover 1 is slowly fully opened or closed. This deceleration by the damper 20 makes the positioning of fully open and fully closed accurate, and the noise of opening and closing is reduced. Figures 4 and 5 show the movement of the cover 1. When the cover is lifted vertically and opened in Figure 4, the contact point between the support part 9 of the cover and the rotating shaft 2 moves from A to B. do. This is because when the cover 1 moves perpendicularly to the rotating shaft 2 in FIG. 5, a part of the cover 1 interferes with the surrounding outer sheet metal part. This is because in order to solve this problem, it is necessary to move from A to B. In this mechanism, the movement of the support portion is combined with a damper to reduce the speed of the cover.

FIG. 6 shows a state in which the damper device 20 is installed on the rotating shaft 2 and the lamp cover 1 is closed. As the rotating shaft 2 rotates, the lamp cover 1 and the damper casing 11 rotate.
At this time, as shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, the rotating part 10
A twisted groove 19 is cut inside the body, and a convex portion of the shaft 12 fixed to the body is fitted into this twisted groove 19, so that the relative position of the rotating shaft portion 2 and the shaft 12 changes. If you lift lamp cover 1 now,
As shown in FIG. 6, the lamp cover 1 and damper casing 11 move to the right with respect to the shaft 12. Since the casing 11 is filled with oil 13, the spools 14, 18, which are made up of a piston 18 and a rod-shaped body 14, move together with the casing 11, and at this time, the lamp cover 1 moves quickly. However, when the tips of the spools 14 and 18 reach one end c of the stopper 16, they hit the stopper 16, and the spools 14 and
18 stops. Even though the spools 14 and 18 have stopped, the lamp cover 1 is still moving, so the oil 13 moves from left to right through the orifice 18' of the piston 18, and this acts as a resistance, causing the lamp cover 1 to decelerate. Stop making. The same applies when the lamp cover 1 is closed.

In the embodiment, the damper is inserted into the drive shaft because the lamp cover 1 is shifted in the axial direction when it is opened or closed, but when it is not shifted, the damper shaft may be inserted in the tangential direction of the movement locus of the lamp cover.

As mentioned above, the headlamp cover according to the present invention does not rotate the headlamp itself, which has a mass, but has a mechanism that rotates only the cover. The movement of the lamp cover is made fast at the beginning, and a damper is installed in the rotation mechanism of the cover. Since the movement speed is relaxed near the end of the rotational movement, the fully open and fully closed positions can be accurately positioned, which has the advantage of reducing noise during opening and closing.
