軸であり、この回転軸3の上部には液表面付近を
周回可能なスカム掻き寄せ部材4が設置してあ
る。スカム掻き寄せ部材4は板状のスキマー5と
周回先端部のスクレーパー6とから形成されてお
り、回転軸3によつて液面を水平に周回しつつ浮
遊するスカムをスキマー5が放射外方向へ掻き集
め、さらに先端スクレーパー6に案内されて大量
のスカムは槽内に設置した集積ボツクス7に落と
しこまれ、ボツクス7と槽外に連通する排出管8
により外部へ排出するようになつている。しか
し、排出作業は強制的ではなくかつスカムが塊状
となつているため流れが悪く、ボツクス7や排出
管8内に堆積し結局完全な排出除去ができないと
いう現象を生ずる。
